Girlfriend jeans, yea or nay

Also who can wear them? Can a short, stumpy, nearly bald forty something wear them? Too trendy for that demographic? How the heck do you style them? And what actually makes them "girlfriend jeans"?

I am just a few pounds from goal. I need to upgrade my wardrobe. I like everything I try on. But... at forty something, just because I can, doesn't mean I should. Goals...Look current, look fashionable, yet casual. Not interested in the manther look, ugh. Classy, but not patronly.

So any input from the fashionista's?

I don't think I will ever date a guy whose legs would even fit into pants like that.

Before the last couple of years when the skinny jean became super trendy again, I had no idea that any man ever in life ever wore skinny jeans, in any era. And I am totally against it. I don't care how thin, built, attractive. No man needs skin-tight pants. EVER. That is just my opinion though, and I don't really judge but I know what I like to see and what I don't like to see and to me a man in skin-tight pants is not manly enough. But hey, to each his own. I already have a boyfriend and he's manly in every way, so I could care less what the rest of world's population of men does LOL

I'm forty-something. I say nay. You're cute, and the jeans detract from that. You do not want the woman's first thought to be, "Wow, look at those jeans". You want her to think, "Look at that smile" (or eyes, or whatever they're into...) Dress neat, clean and comfortable for you and your personality and interests.

I say nay, though they are popular with the young kids jr high, high school, college but it doesnt mean they look good. My 17 yr old son who is 6ft 2inch and 230 lbs wears them he also wears a furry tail hooked onto his pant loop with size 15 black vans Lol just saying he thinks this look is cool, but I remember some of the things I wore in high school ROTFL .......back to the question ummmm NO

I would not put those on.
My legs are skinny enough as is....don't need to draw more attention to them.
