I'm not sure where to post this, but has anybody tried using herbal supplements to get their monthly cycle back?

I stopped taking birth control a year and half ago, and haven't had a period since.

I eat enough. Usually between 1350-1500 calories a day. I'm 25 years old, 5ft1. I weigh 122, so I'm not too small. I'm not over exercising. I lift 3x a week and throw in days of cardio. I go to school full time and work full time, so I don't really have time to overdo it when it comes to exercise.

I have been to the dr several times. They checked my hormone levels (normal), they checked my thyroid (normal), the did an ultrasound (normal). They put me on hormone pills twice. The first one was 10mg once daily for 5 days, the second one was 200mg twice daily for 10 days. That didn't work, so the dr said can't find anything wrong, don't know what to do, try taking birth control again and see if that helps.

I really don't want to start taking birth control again, bc I feel like that's what messed things up in the first place. I'd like to fix the problem naturally if possible.

Or should I just not worry about it?

Get a new doctor. "I don't know, deal with it" is the sign of a crappy physician. If you're bodyfat is low (sub 20%) you may have shut down your cycles temporarily.

You may need to see an endocrinologist for more testing.

This happened to me. Everything was normal too they came back after nearly two years. I think evening primrose is good for female hormones. It may just be you need more time but I know how distressing this can be. Good luck. I was on yasmin btw.
