Today! Today I ran 3.8 miles! I just finished C25k 2 weeks ago so for me this is really far and really fantastic!

I've done two 10K's. You'd have to pay me quite a bit of money to go farther. Every time I get to about 4.5 miles, I get irritated that I'm still running. Not that I can't -- I just don't enjoy it past about that point.

I really wanted to be one of those people that love running, but I just can't get into it. GOt up to 8km but had to force myself to go so I've moved onto other things now.

  • Started Run a 5k program in June with my husband. We ran our first official 5k this past Saturday. Normally we run 2.3-2.5 miles every morning, due to time constraints.

I really want to get into distance running. My furthest is 5k but I really struggle with runs now I lift heavy and do less endurance cardio. Any advice?

14 miles this summer. Just started training from my second half marathon, which happens in January. Hoping to run 2 halfs this year, and a full marathon next year.

You will do fine! I know it! When I started I could not run 20 yards. Now I run 4 miles a day.

What is the longest distance you have run at one time? 5k, 10k, Half Marathon, Marathon, Ultra distances?

I have run a half marathon on the treadmill, but outdoors it is nine miles.

Yay I can now update my own post I have just quoted

The furthest I have run outdoors is half marathon.
  • I have completed a 50K. Hope to complete 50-75 miles at the 24 hour race in April
  • Half marathon :)

    26.2 miles
  • Interesting question. I've never tried "maxing-out" on a run like some might do with bench pressing or squats. When I was younger I used to train 5-8 miles per day, 6 days a week. And then may do me "long" run once a week or maybe once every other week, and that was maybe 12. I never really felt all that winded or spent after my "long" runs, but it also never accured to me to try and go farther since I was training for 5 and 10 K races.

But I'm now in my 40's and running sprints, intervals, hiss and 5-10K is about all I enjoy doing anymore. I think "going-long" is in my past. Just not enjoyable anymore.
