Who else hates rest days?

I'm currently working an intermediate 4 day push/pull split with incorporated compounds and I swear I hate rest days..weds,sat,sun are so hard for me. For you other fanatics out there..how do you get through it? I sit here at work and all I can think about is tomorrow. Maybe I need an intervention idk....

I work hard enough so I need my rest days, don't feel guilty about taking them at all. Although mine is usually only one per week at the moment, maybe two if I've been working really hard and need it. I usually do some foam rolling and often take the dog for a walk so I don't feel like I'm missing out. 4 days a week isn't really that much, maybe you need to look into programs that are 5 days a week. If you split body parts you can still get enough rest to recover inbetween

Split your push pull splits to upper body and lower body days.

I do an hour of stretching or yoga on my "rest" days.

    rest days are important.

that being said, it doesn't mean you don't have to do nothing. you can go for a really long walk or bike ride. you can swim. you can foam roll or go for a yoga class.

you can also take advantage of the free time and cook out your meals for the week.

you can also mentally focus and plan your work outs for the rest of the week.

I have one rest day and it is Sundays, I love it because I relax and do absolutely nothing. However, if something comes up in the week and I have to miss a day, then those I am not a fan of at all

I don't take them if I can help it, I do yoga and take walks on my "off" days. Or I clean obsessively which can be a workout too haha.

On my "rest" days I usually do something light, usually just a nice long walk. If not I'll just clean for a long time. I severely dislike being inactive.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I know I need it, but it still stinks for me.

That would be an "active rest day" I'm bulking and not spending my calories on bullcrap

I don't take rest days, I run distance 7 days a week and lift on a split for 5. It slows my gains a bit but keeps me sane and I enjoy distance running too much to miss it.

I'm a natural born runner too and it sucks. If I did anything else outside of the weightroom I'd have to eat upward of 4200 cals to gain. Aint nobody got time fo that ish! I can't wait for Feb to start my cut..then it's game on!

Yep today is one of my rest days also, not really a fan. Im getting too old to not take them though. : ) Muscles are growing and I have no injuries so I guess they are keeping me rested and healthy. I try not to do much other than walking or foam rolling.

I had a rest day today, so I did abs.

Weekend rest days aren't so bad.....I have things around the house to do or things with the kiddos, so it keeps me occupied.

I too like my rest days. What about using the hand grippers on your rest days to burn the forearms a bit.

I workout six days a week, so I get one rest day. I might take two, because I feel like I'm getting burned out on it. But I enjoy my rest days sometimes, haha. There's times when I do hate taking a rest though.
