I was sane and on track until my mom made a huge batch of Baklava ( walnuts + other nuts wrapped in that thing, baked and drizzled with tons of honey )
I just ate +25 of those.
I have no idea how that happened, what now, seriously?

Don't flip out.
Just don't do it tomorrow, or the next day, or the majority of days.
Everything will be fine!!0 -
I'd say "oh well, it's a cheatday" and stretch that thing until monday then get back on the wagon...0

Regroup. So you went off track a bit and splurged. :drinker: Don't let this ruin all of your hard work. Get back on track and start right where you are. Go back to what you were doing before. You can decide to let that moment of insanity define you or you can pick yourself back up and go back to being sane.0 -
oh wow, I love baklava0

Learn from it, move on. Eat within your calories today and moving forward. Drink plenty of water.
Did you really eat 25 of them?? ouch. I'd hoark. (sorry, that's just too sweet for me)0 -

What do you mean by stretching it until Monday?0 -
I had a Burger King Whopper and fries last night. No big deal, just made it fit into my day.
One indulgence is not going to undo all your hard work. Just move on.0 -

I passed my calories for the day with a mile.
Edit: btw, I'm ready to eat more, too bad we're saving some for the guests coming soon.0 -

They were tasty but it wasn't really worth the 25 * 300 = 7500 CAL- WHAT???! are you serious?0 -
Well that was a pretty epic "cheat meal". But...from prior posts you have made, you are already a thin, young person. Move on, eat healthy.0

Make more and send to me!! I overate yesterday for my work Thanksgiving lunch. I am going to eat lighter today and do crossfit. I am going to eat like the ****ens on Thanksgiving and eat lighter and do crossfit the following day. I look at it weekly. One day is not going to ruin anything if most other days are good. Thats how I look at it and have lost almost 50 pounds doing it. I am not going to give up eating and enjoying food. Thats just nuckin futs if ya ask me
Edit to say the the word ****ens is not a cuss word and shouldnt be edited here. Thats dumb.
D-I_C-K-E-N-S hehe showed you MFP sensors!!!!0 -
There are approximately 300 calories in each one. Only you can decide if it was/is worth it. However many you actually ate.
Holly Hell thats alot of calories! I honestly dont think i could enjoy eating even one of those. The guilt and thought of running for 30 minutes would depress me.0 -

The folks here say it's ~300 calories per piece which add up to ~7500 calories for what I just ate. I DON'T THINK THAT'S EVEN DOABLE, NOT IN MY LIFE-TIME EVER AGAIN!0 -

I already feel like crap ... Never thought the sum of calories would go that high, I didn't even feel half full, they were like bite size.0 -
Well I would just say to not beat yourself up about it because then you may take the " poop on this noise" attitude and let one day turn into a week and so on. Next time maybe take out a few and give the rest away immediately or freeze them for later!!0

Baklava is amaaaaaaziiiiing!
We all make mistakes. I had three cookies for breakfast this morning, and that's a third of my cals for the whole day. Stay calm, you'll be okay!0 -

That's not half bad. I just ate the third of my cals for my entire life0 -
We are human and we will make mistakes.
Learn from it and move onward & upward as soon as you are ready.0 -

This other website I go to just uses the word "Charles" to say what you are saying. (ie: the author of Tale of Two Cities, Oliver Twist, Christmas Carol etc)
To the OP - that is one epic chat meal!! All I can say is learn from this - obviously this is some kind of trigger food for over indulgence. Next time this comes up (and it will), make it your cheat meal but stop at a very generous 5 instead.0 -

I dont think cheat meal means what you think it means. A cheat meal is a meal you can eat during the week and not effect your weight. OP would have to skip atleast 3 days worth of calories to classify that as a cheat meal.0 -

I'm not sure they were really worth ~7500 cals.
I stomached them easily and didn't feel anywhere near half full, they were just bite size. ( maybe a total of 300 grams )
Anyways, I think it was more of a binge/disorder, I've been strict for 3 months.
I have a marathon tomorrow and I'm going to get back on track with eating but I still need advice on what really caused today's disorder so I can prevent it next time.0 -
This looks delicious!
Just move on. I mean, what else can you do?0 -
What now? Now you just move forward. Don't dwell on what you can't change.
PS They look gloriously yummy!0 -
I don't really see the problem here lol0
-

Cause?......Something too damn good to resist! Now if you ate one and said to yourself ,these do not taste very good and continued to eat 25 more, then i would say you may have some disorder that needs looking into.0 -
Ok...seriously...
-If that is really you in your profile picture
-If you are really 19 years old
-If you are really running a marathon tomorrow
... then chill. It's all good. The person who "guessed" how many calories were in each didn't make them or measure the size - only you and your Mom would be able to work out how much you really ate. It was one "cheat" session - you will burn probably around 4K calories tomorrow and if you are back on track with your eating it is not going to make you balloon over night. lol. So to answer your question - now you say "man that was good but next time I should stop at one or two and build them into my calories for the day" and you move on with your happy teenage life. :laugh:0
