Need Energy and a Workout Plan!

I feel like there might be something wrong with me, because for the last week or so I haven't had any energy at all. Some days I fall asleep at my computer and I often find myself crawling back into bed and napping for upwards of 4 hours a day! I'm constantly cold, my nose and fingers are frozen, and the colder I am the quicker my body shuts down. I never want to cook anymore, and I've found it so much easier to just eat whatever junk food/ fatty meals my mother is eating so I don't have to move from the chair for very long.
I am constantly sleepy, always yawning, and having trouble focusing. I can't figure out what's wrong. I had a medium latte yesterday and I still felt like crashing on the couch. Are there exercises that can give you more energy? I was starting to work out up to 5 times a week, 30 minutes each workout day, but suddenly I felt like I was hit over the head and I still haven't recovered.
Advice?

I wonder if you are getting sick. Sometimes I can tell when I am getting sick because I just want to sleep.
When I start to feel like that I force myself to work out-- running, elliptical or a class-- i feel exhausted and sleepy going in but energized coming out
but if this continues, you may want to see a doctor0 -
Eat more.0

I'll try forcing myself to do some cardio. There's always a low calorie latte in it for me if I do it so I should at least try.
Eat more? Bro I'm fat.0 -
Have you a had a checkup recently? That could point to a thyroid issue, among other things.0

A - Just because your fat doesn't mean you have to consistently eat between 1100 and 1200 calories a day to lose weight.
B - Your body uses food as fuel. You aren't likely to get very far on an empty tank.
C - Do it how you see fit, I'm only offering advice. So go spend time and money at a doctors office trying to find a physical excuse as to why you are tired.
D - Research before taking and/or discounting anyone's advice.0 -
You're not eating much, especially if you're working out. If you need a workout plan and info, consider New Rules of Lifting for Women to get your info, and start up with Stronglifts 5x5.0

^I agree. Being it's a recent thing, I'd see a doctor. Of course eating crap & over-exercising and undereating (which I'm guessing) probably isn't helping matters. Are there exercises that can give you more energy?
In your case, you don't exercise to get energy, you NEED energy to exercise.0 -
You might have low iron or thyroid? Might be a viral infection?
Like the other posters said be sure you are eating enough.0 -
I've been over my calorie goal a couple times recently because old friends have been showing up and we like to go to the asian buffets around us (there are 4 of them!) but tbh a large meal there for me is still only around 500 cals, so I'm never over by much if I remember to log that day.
A doctor is pretty expensive without health insurance unfortunately. I'm planning on getting a check up as soon as my fiance gets his foot in the door in his career field.
It was a very, very sudden change by the way. I haven't changed anything about me, however. Same old diet, same old snacks, tea, etc. I have no other symptoms however. No headaches on body aches or anything.
I really don't want to eat more. If I eat more, I'll gain back all the weight I lost. Kinda defeats the purpose.0 -
Stop eating garbage. You will get out of your body what you put into it. Eat crap, feel like crap. Exercise = energy.0

But garbage happens. lol0

If you're not under eating, then the next step would be to go to a Doctor and have blood work done to check for defficiencies/thyroid function etc. Given that you said that you can't afford it, have a look at your diet. Is it obviously lacking in any areas? Iron, Vit B, Vit D? I suppose you could try a quality multi vitimin as an attempt to try and fix the problem but it isn't going to be as good as the targeted approach that a blood test would give.
Also, look at your sleep and make sure you're getting enough.0 -
Definitely check out the foods as fuels info. Yes garbage happens...but we often ignore the fact that we are what we eat. Other posts recommend checking into health issues, which I agree with because you describe it as sudden. Some say your body's metabolism is at it's highest early in the day. So try working out then to get your metabolsim going. Work on your nutrition. Try not to use the word diet, it seems so restricting. There are many factors to evaluate...process of elimination.0
