For a while I have been consuming about 600 calories. I know thats not good i just think anything over that is wayyyy too much. Lunch: 18 Pretzles 110 ca
Snack: 18 Pretzels 110 cals
Dinner: (sometimes none) some sort of protein or carb 300
Whats going on with me? I know this is unhealthy someone please help me!!!!!!

when you eat a small amount your body gets used to it and accepts it as enough to fill your stomach. HOWEVER the rest of your body recognises it as insufficient and compensates. You're burning more than you eat, which means that you're effectively eating zero, which means you're pretty much starving yourself. Start to ramp up your intake with higher calorie drinks, peanut butter etc. Do it slowly and steadily, add a bit each day, and get to your BMR. You can lose weight and eat. In fact, eating will help you swim better too!0

We are not qualified to help you. You know that you have a problem, and you need to find a professional to help you fix it. You can start here: http://www.nationaleatingdisorders.org/find-treatment0

Yikes. It's good you view this as unhealthy and are asking for help. However, I recommend seeing a trained professional for help rather than a fitness forum. You know what you need to do. Eat more.0

You have trained your stomach to be satisfied with small amounts of food. Counting on your height and age this may be temporarily ok until you reach your goal weight. After that you will slowly add calories until you see weight gain. Then adjust your daily intake. This new intake will be your daily calorie amount for maintenance. If you are petite, under 5'4 600-700 calories is good for weight loss; 900-1000 for maintenance! Good luck!0

In case you didn't know already, you have an eating disorder. Seek professional help, don't listen to yahoos on the Internet.0

Sophia, I understand the temptation to eat less in order to lose more. There are some days where I get so sick and disgusted of my body I don't want to eat anything at all.
Your body is a machine that needs fuel. Not only are you not giving your body enough fuel, you are eating foods that cannot provide you with the nutrients you need. Because you're relatively young, you can probably get away with this for a while before you start seeing the effects, but you will. Your skin will get thin, your hair will fall out, you will feel weak all the time. You risk doing permanent damage to your heart.
It's not worth it.
Drop the pretzels and cornflakes and add fruit and veggies. Snack on nuts. Eat a lean meat and other veggies at dinner. You can do this. You will lose weight AND you will LOOK better because you won't get sickly.0 -
Pretzels are not a meal. If you're going to jack up your body this much at least eat some healthy calories, and eat them on the way to seek professional help.0

You're having trouble eating the right amount of calories because cornflakes and pretzels are not meals and they aren't sustainable in the long term with all the exercise you do.
You might want to talk to a doctor to screen for a possible eating disorder.0 -

No kidding!! I am 5'2" tall and I eat 300 calories for breakfast!
NO ONE should be eating under 1200 calories MINIMUM unless under STRICT medical supervision.
try a scrambled egg and a slice of toast for breakfast
a salad with a source of protein (meat or beans) on it for lunch
meat and veggies for dinner
snack on fruits and nuts.
today *I* ate 2 scrambled eggs and 3 slices of soy bacon for breakfast. After the gym ( about 800 calorie burn) I had a luna protein bar ( around 200 calories or so), for lunch I had a bowl of chili with cheese and a few saltines. for dinner I had a bowl of cottage cheese with diced pears and a glass of carnation instant breakfast ( I was on my own and nothing sounded good). I also had 5 mini reeses cups this afternoon after visiting my dying father in hospice. Emotional eating is a problem of mine.0 -

Sophia,
Welcome.
You are going to seriously damage your body if you continue down this course. No offense intended, with how little you eat and how afraid you are of eating, it sounds like eating disordered behavior. You need to pay a visit to your doctor to discuss this.
You also need to start eating some meals and not just those snacks you call meals. Listen, I am a 52 year old woman and I have lost 30 pounds. I eat upwards of 2,000 calories a day and I am losing weight.
Please get to your doctor immediately to discuss this.0 -

I just had a member of Martin Luther King's senior staff (head of Operation Breadbasket, the Reverend Peter Davis) speak to my class.
He talked about fasting for 18 days to protest the low wages paid to public employees in Dallas during the civil rights movement. One of the things he said was that after you stop eating for five days, you stop being hungry and it gets easier.
This is where you are. Please get help from a professional. No one should be afraid to eat.0 -

If you are eating this tiny amount and are not losing weight, you need to have your thyroid checked. I lowered my calories a few years ago to try to find a low enough number to start losing weight. I too was eating 600 calories and was not hungry. It was because my thyroid had stopped functioning properly. See a doctor. This is not normal.0
