    - I would educate my younger self on how my body actually works, so I could lose weight and get healthy earlier.
    - Don't give up, you will get there. It just may take longer than you think.
    - Don't be so careful all the time

Don't worry about the future! Things will work out the way they're supposed to, maybe not the way you anticipate, but far better than you fear.

None I am the sum of my experiences good and especially the bad! I would not be who, what or where I am today without all the events that have occurred throughout my life.

    Just a thought!

    - start lifting heavy weights ASAP. It will change your life
    - don't be so hard on yourself all the time. It is okay to be an outlier

Totally agree! With respect to life events and experiences (good and bad) I wouldn't change a thing. I would only tell myself to chill out and not worry about the future. I always had this deep-seated fear of being alone... stupid, but very real and terrifying. Now, in my 30s with an amazing husband (everything I wanted and feared I would never find!) and two beautiful daughters, I realize how silly it was to worry so much. :)

Don't let the small, unimportant things get to you. They just don't matter in the end.

Exercise and healthy food can be amazing when you see how great they make you feel.

Listen to your gut feeling. Very closely!! :)

First off I want to say hi. Im new to the community.

    My advice to a young person would be;
    - Always go for it, whatever that may be. I'm with a girl who I once thought was out of my league and look what happened. She is next to me snoring with her mouth open. (Jk, but u get the picture) If a girl/guy turns u down its their loss.
    - Be as nice as you can to people. Everyone needs a "don't worry about that" once in a while.
-Friends come and go. If your lucky to hold on to a select few, make sure they either have the same goals as you or higher.
-Kick *kitten* in school. Just because u have good grades doesn't mean you're a nerd. You just hustle harder than most. I am now finally getting that 4.0 and it feels great. Although I am a certified TCFP firefighter/EMT, I'm still striving for more knowledge. Learning never stops... Hope this helps!

    Good luck

    - listen to your parents... they actually do know what they're talking about.
    - rules are not there to be broken. they're actually there for a legitimate reason.
    - don't speed. believe it or not, you're not Letty from F&F.
    - you don't need to date every guy that shows an interest. you'll only end up hurt in the end.
    - be patient.
    - those things your parents tell you not to do or you'll regret it later...? they're right.
    - save more. spend less.
    - avoid credit cards like the plague.
    - if you can't purchase it with cold, hard cash -- you probably don't need it.
    - eat healthier sooner.
    - put the fork down.

    - Don't bother with friends, they will only eventually let you down in the end, people are self serving.

    - Don't start smoking
    - Don't worry about what other people think- the good people in your life are those that love you for who you are
    - Spend more time with family, they may not be around forever
    - Don't date the guy you met at your first job out of highschool. Just don't. He will waste a lot of your money, time, energy, and happiness.

    - Finish High School
    - (Since I had my son in High School, and I don't regret him) I would just have to add, don't eat at fast food every day! I pigged out when I was pregnant, used the whole eating for two bit.

Never think you know it all , nobody does. Don't smoke, don't forget to get a little exercise every day.... and for the love of all things .... do your homework and try hard at school....

When she tells you she doesn't want to be pregnant , she is going to blame you whether you tell her she can't or whether you support her wishes. Don't take it personally... it wasn't really your decision to interfere with

-Never commit to anyone when you're under 35. Take this time to date around and find out what you really want in a partner. This is especially true for men.

-Choose a career where you can make money by being charming and talking a good game (real estate agent perhaps?).

-Surround yourself with good people who are successful and get involved in the right social circles.

-Never listen to your parents. I've learned more from traveling, going away to college, and living all over the country than I ever will from my folks. This isn't true for everyone, but it's been my experience.

-Most importantly, NEVER settle in any aspect of your life, especially when it comes to career or your life partner.

    agreed!!!

    AGREED!

Me too - no regrets and learning daily - still living as I did when I was younger (minus the smoking) and proud of every mistake I made, here for the journey and looking forward to my next mistake for the fun! I love living!!
