Recommend a good ice cream?

I'm halfway through my Edy's slow churn rocky road. What do you suggest I buy next? Extra points if it isn't chocolate (my husband isn't a fan). Maybe s pint suggestion for chocolate for me and a gallon for ma family. ♥♥

My favorite ice cream EVER is Cherry Garcia from Ben and Jerry's. However I can only have that very occasionally because the whole pint is well over 1000 calories haha.

My favorite new treat is called Halo Top ice cream. You can find it at whole foods, trader joe's, sprouts. It's only 280 calories for the entire pint with 28g of protein and tastes really good! The texture takes some getting used to, but I eat some literally every week!

I love plain old Breyer's Natural Vanilla. 130 calories for a 1/2 cup service and ONLY 5 ingredients.

I'm a fan of Breyer's too. Chocolate is 150 calories a serving, vanilla 130-140. No junk. Win.

Chalk up one more fan for Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia. So good.

Also, Talenti makes some amazing gelatos. They have a sea salt caramel one that has wee little caramel truffles in it. There's also a black raspberry with chocolate flakes in it. I know you said no chocolate, though; Tillamook makes a blackberry ice cream that is just... words can't explain it.

    Edy's sucks. BLUE BELL

    http://www.bluebell.com/

They actually sell it by they 1/2 gallon. The way ice cream was intended to be sold!

ETA: My fav flavors are choc chip cookie dough, blueberry cheesecake, blackberry cobbler, and Christmas cookies.....but it doesnt matter what I like. They will have a flavor you like and will be 100 times better than Edys

    Non-chocolate is hard!

Ben & Jerry's pumpkin cheesecake, Cherry Garcia, well, really any Ben & Jerry's!
Blue Bunny carrot cake (not sure it's available anymore, and good macros), red velvet is good too, and wedding cake.
Talenti sea salt caramel gelato (there are chocolate covered caramel pieces in there, but not the ice cream itself)
Turkey Hill Homemade Vanilla (their Whoopie Pie ice cream is unbelievable, but that's chocolate)
Now I'm dreaming about Whoopie Pie ice cream, so I'm drawing a blank.

Right?! I think you can judge most ice cream brands by how delicious their vanilla flavor is. Anytime I try a new brand, I go for that first. If they can't get that right, how can I expect them to handle more complex combinations?! (Not to say that vanilla doesn't have its own complex bouquet of flavors, too.)

Talenti's Tahitian vanilla bean is the stuff of gods, I'm pretty sure.

All my favorites are by Talenti. Thankfully, the Sprouts locations about Dallas have all the flavors. My favorites are:
    1) Old-fashioned Egg Nog
    2) Southern Butter Pecan
    3) German Chocolate Cake
    4) Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip

Seconding Takenti raspberry chocolate chip. Their toasted almond is a really good non-chocolate option.
McConell's double peanut butter chip is one of my favorites right now.

ETA New Orleans Ice Cream Company! Can be hard to find outside of Louisiana but very good. Creole Cream Cheese is amazing. Recently had red velvet cake and praline crunch, both good.

I like Breyer's Vanilla, Chocolate, Strawberry. I am not a fan of chocolate, but my wife is, so it works out nicely...

For a treat, I get Green tea ice cream. Haagen Dazs makes a good one.

mmmmmmmm I am game for anything ice cream! I love pistachio almond, jamocha almond fudge, egg nog. I did find a lemon cheesecake ice cream I want to try next when I finish what I have in my freezer now - which is vanilla to mix with my egg nog to make shakes!

TOTALLY agree with the Talenti sea salt caramel. Funny, I never noticed the caramel pieces. But this is awesome and less calories than ice cream. BJs sells it in a big container at a reasonable price.

Häagen-Dazs Butter Pecan, Vanilla Swiss Almond, and Macadamia brittle are my absolute favorites. I also love their Gelato in Cappuccino flavor.

Blue bell moo-llennium crunch (it has dark chocolate chunks, caramel chunks, almonds, pecans, and walnuts..so yum!) is also really good for homemade sundaes.

For low cal stuff that is passable I like Edy's light double fudge brownie, rocky road, fudge tracks, cookie dough, coffee, and mint cookie.
