    1) yes. now Ernie and Rubber Duckie on the other hand....
    2) someone's name is not thought provoking nor controversial, is just is. Snuffleupagus
    3) people of a certain age can still need comfort items. Big Bird's is Radar (the bear) and mine is Jack Daniels (the whiskey)...so "po-tay-to"/"po-tah-to"
    4) Ritalin is used to treat ADHD, Cookie Monster has his attention extremely focused on one thing: cookie. Cookie Monster does not have ADHD. My prescription? More cookies
    5) Super Grover doesn't have super strength. His "powers" are investigating, observing and reporting. So he's kind of like the Batman of Sesame Street, and therefore, he must lift.

    Word of God says that Bert and Ernie were never intended to be a gay couple.

    The idea that they are gay is just one of the more ridiculous iterations of the all males with male friends are gay meme that's been tossed at everyone from Jesus to Abraham Lincoln to...well any male person or character with a close male friend. Look folks, some people in the world are not gay, and some stories are not about sex or orientation. I realize this comes as a blow to some of you, but it's true.

    Sometimes it's hard to tell the "serious" commentary from the slash-fic :laugh:
