1/4 cup dried rice

okay, i eat alot of rice (jasmine). but i'm so confused. i finally had time to look at the calories and nutrition and it said that 1/4 cup of dried rice equals 454 cal. after the rice is cooked, it's no longer 1/4 cup. so my question is that how many cups is it then? anyone know?

    I am not sure how much it would be cooked but I usually cook a batch and then measure out what I eat and put that in my diary. Maybe that would work better for you. You could always cook the 1/4 cup and then measure it out using the same 1/4 cup.

    i think rice is like pasta. 1/4 cup dry rice would be 1/2 cup cooked rice.

    yes, rice and pasta both double when you cook them. So 1/4 cup dried will be a 1/2 cup cooked.:flowerforyou:

    I eat brown rice and it says 1/4 dry equals 1/2 cup cooked.
