FavDaughter1 - I thought about it and peppermint extract didn't really cross my mind, thats a good ideas. What I did decide to do was to get the syrup flavoring and add an ounce. 1 ounce adds like 80 calories to the recipe. It tastes delicious.

Probably the easiest way would just be to add a drop or two of peppermint extract! Or sugar free Torani syrup in peppermint flavor.

Sounds good but low cal or not it is still a lot of sugar especially at night which spikes insulin right before bed. Have you tried chocolate protein powder? I make a milkshake with choc whey protein a tbsp instant coffee and ice/water

I do have the sugar free hot chocolate mix so I will use that and maybe substitute Chocolate Unsweetened Almond Breeze for the skim milk. I do have the chocolate whey protein shakes a lot so this will be a different tasting treat! Thanks for the idea!
