I can't find nutritional info on Texas Roadhouse. If someone knows where i can get it, that would be great. If not, any suggestions as what to get. I have a good bit of calories (1200) left for the day, but I don't want to go crazy. What do you all get there?

  • I get the chicken critter salad, and i olny eat half of it. Its soooo goood. But theres a lottttt of sodium in it, thats why i only eat half, and save the other half for lunch the next day

You should get a margarita, because their's are awesome!

no, in all seriousness, they do have a couple of healthy options. They have a baked chicken option that is fantastic. Their porkchops are good as well. Watch out for those yummy rolls though, they add up quickly!

Pick from the menu, then you can look up each individual item on the plate for a good estimate.

    Also, Livestrong.com has some

Is it for a special occasion? I eat our rarely so when I do, I get something I will enjoy (maybe a steak instead of the baked chicken I can make at home). I just get a smaller size (6 oz) and healthy sides (brocolli/salads). This isn't a diet - it's life and I know I can't give up steak forever!! (Did I mention I LOVE TR steak?!)

Best of luck enjoy your meal! 1200 is quite a bit, I am sure you can find something tasty for that. Just drink a lot of water. :)

    O....M....G........

I LOVE TEXAS ROAD HOUSE! TAKE ME WITH YOU!

    *calms self*

I always used to get Roadkill....Oh my word...seriously amazing...but I can't find any info on how many calories it was. I could never even finish half of it. (Its 10oz of chopped up steak with mushrooms and cheese...sounds like a heart attack waiting to happen.)

But when I clicked on everything from Texas Roadhouse here on the site under food and look at your options...nothing seemed too bad. Their steaks are amazing and they all seemed pretty reasonable! Just beware of the sides like the sweet potatoes or the ranch dressing/homemade croutons! Have fun!

Thanks, All! Today is my hubby's 30th birthday. However, we are really celebrating (suprise!) on Saturday. But, he thinks this is it. I don't want to go hog wild today, because I know Sat. won't be good at all! (BEER!!) Hmmmm, this is a tough decision!
  • I would get a piece of meat, either chicken or steak (6 or 7 oz), steamed vege's and a small salad with dressing on the side. You should be good to go.

Texas Roadhouse has a couple grilled chicken dinners but their grilled chicken contains a whopping 512 calories!

Better options would be their 6 0z steak(around 330) or any dinner salad. Grilled chicken or Grilled chicken caeser salads are about5-600 cals and big enough to only eat half.

I always get a 6 oz sirloin (very lean!), no steak sauce, a baked potato (only use half the butter and no other toppings), and I usually give away my second side. But I'm a little eater and I like my food plain. I believe it comes out to around 600 calories!

THe small sirloin, salad with dressing on the side and either the mixed veggies or the green beans. Use steak sauce it's only 15 cals per tbsp...if steak sauce is your thing. If you still have some calories to use then eat 1..i repeat 1 of their rolls or have a beer or cocktail.
