My husband doesn't understand.

I'm a little sensitive about my weight. I've lost a stone so far and I really wanted to share that with my husband but every time I talk to him about my success he starts asking about numbers, what did I weigh before, what do I weigh now and what is my goal . I've told him again and again that I'm not confident about my weight but its recurring every time I share success he bugs about numbers.
Am I overreacting? Has anyone else experienced something similar regarding their partner. I'm really not sure how to deal with it but I'm not ready to share numbers.
Thanks

Maybe he just asks about the numbers because this way he can better understand the dimensions of your success?!
I don't think there is any bad intention behind it. I understand that you feel insecure about the numbers but shouldn't you have enough confidence to your husband to tell him? He will probably be more supportive if you tell him.
My husband doesn't get it when I tell him I want to be "less flabby" or "more toned" but if I tell him my goal weight is xy kg he gets it0 -
Some people like numbers...I personally keep a spreadsheet of my progress, calories in, weight lost, inches lost, etc.
Men I find love numbers, don't let it bug you. He is your husband after all he probably has an idea of what you weigh anyway.
Don't be over sensitive with him maybe when you give him the numbers he will better understand your accomplishment or maybe he wants to help but needs the numbers for his plan.
My husband when I tell him the numbers he is all happy for me and patting me on the back either weight lost, inches or weights lifted he gets it.0 -
Maybe he's concerned.0

Yeah, I think like the other poster said thats how men dimension the world. I'm far more likely to go to the sports results and standings in the newspapers before I read the match reports themselves. It's just how a lot of us work..0

I'm a big believer in you get what you ask for, especially in marriage. TELL the man: THIS is what I need from you. If you want him to just listen, let him know that's what you need. If you want him to be encouraging, tell him. Don't expect any man to read your mind.0

At least he is concerned about the numbers and showing that he cares!... when I tell my husband that I'm not losing or I've gained, he just stares at me and walks away... He would rather i keep it to myself... (BTW...my husband is morbidly obese and doesn't care)....
Tell him... have the confidence to let him know where you have been... don't be afraid to tell him where you want to be and when you want to be there...! It's just his way of showing he cares! Men have a different mindset than women.0 -
he's a boy... generally if he doesnt have issues with his weight himself, he wont have much concept of losing weight or anything, but if he knows a start number and a finish number, and you tell him you have lost x number then he will be pleased for you... at least thats how my husband works anyway!0
