I normally try my hardest not to eat fast food anymore at all! But today I literally have 1 hour to get from work to my dentist. its a 45 minute drive and i have to eat too. I can't eat after... since I'm having fillings... and will be so swollen that usually the only thing i can handle after is pasta.
Theres a mcdonalds and a burger king right near the dentist office... suggestions please?

subway if there is one,but if you have to eat Mickey D's or BK,get the grilled chicken sandwich and ask for wheat bread and lite mayo or mustard if that's your thing.no fries and diet coke.0

Mcdonald's happy meal! Definitely the best portioned thing they offer. Substitute the fries for the apple dippers and a soda with either water or milk. Its still about 500 calories, but it wont throw off your whole day.
Making it a plain hamburger, or taking off one half of the bun will help cut down on those cals even more :bigsmile:0 -
The McDonalds grilled chicken sandwich is on a wheat bun and is very yummy. They also have a yogurt parfait but I'm not sure of the calories.0

Can you hit a grocery store for deli meat for some to go options...both of those are soooo nasty:embarassed:0

I'd go chicken sandwhich grilled throw away the bun (or even the snack wraps two of them and throw away the wraps..)
apples no caramel dip.
diet coke
done and done.
I've done this.0 -
1 McDonald's Hamburger is my 'in a pinch' fast food item of choice.

Don't forget McDonalds has both full sized salads as well as side salads (the side salad is only 20 calories before you add dressing!). They also have apple dippers. McChicken with no mayo (add ketchup?) or hamburger (no cheese) aren't too bad either! I usually get the filet of fish with no cheese and a side salad and use half a packet of the ranch dressing.0

Any grilled option is always good, as long as you take any sauces or dressings off of it, because that's where all of the calories usually are. Is there anything else near you besides a McDonalds or Burger King? The Taco Bell fresco tacos are really yummy and fresh tasting and surprisngly not bad for you (I think 150 calories per taco?)
It might help if the night before you look up the nutrition facts at either restaurant and plan out your meal, that way when you hit the drive thru or go inside, you won't be lost or tempted to get something bad, because you will know exactly what you want. I do this, and it really really helps and makes things a lot easier.0 -
And Panera... mmmm.... on second thought maybe I won't cook dinner tonight that broccoli soup is calling my name!0
