5 to 10 pounds until goal- how many calories are you eating?

I am 5'6" and about ten pounds from my goal weight of 135. I started at 180. I just upped my calories from 1200 to 1400 and started doing resistance training in addition to light cardio.
Anyone else in a similar situation? I have been stalled at my current weight for over 2 months and hoping I am on the right track to lose the last 10!

I eat 1300 during the week and around 2000 or so on the weekend. I'm 5'8" and 49 yrs old. I'm lightly active.0

I'm 11 pounds away from goal and I have 1370 calories. I found out I like running distances and now I'm lifting weights, so usually it's quite a bit more than that.0

I don't know if you are on the right track, but I am close to where you are. I am 5'5 and recently upped calorie goal from 1200 to 1400. I also went from primarily running to cardio+strength. I have not lost weight, but I haven't gained either and I usually eat my exercise calories. I am currently at 139 (up appx 5-7 pounds after gaining after an injury last September) and would like to get down to 130.0

I'm 52 and 5' 41/2" and 1 pound from my goal. I eat roughly 2,000 calories a day, but this also includes my exercise calories from running, elliptical, spinning, and strength training. If I did not exercise, I would be allowed 1640 calories.0

I am 5ft and I am 5 kgs away from goal. I recently upped my calories from 1200 to 1350 and have plateaued for a week now.0

I am 11 lbs from my goal and I eat 1500 calories a day, plus my exercise calories.0

I've been somewhere 10-15 above since early November. Not doing much except try to stay healthy on track. Figure it'll come off eventually so long as I can improve consistency. So health over pounds.0

Right now I'm about 2 kg from my initial goal of 65 kg (ate a ton this weekend and am dealing with some water weight). I am still eating at 1320 calories a day to lose .5 kg a week as I have to eyeball and guesstimate what I eat at work. When I up my calories to lose .25 kg a week it's not enough of a deficit to account for the unknown.
I would love to get down to 60 kg or lighter, but realistically I don't know that it will happen. I would like to get down to 63 kg to give me a few kg to play with.
I'm also 5'6" btw..0 -

I'm 5'5 and two pounds from my goal of 130. I currently eat 2400/day. I do bodyweight training and walking for cardio.0

I'm 5'7, i've got 19 pounds left, and my cals per day is 14700

I am 5'7", about 1 pound to go to get to 140, but likely I will lose more. I'm eating 1500 calories a day and eat my exercise calories. On weekends, I don't work out but I often go over my 1500 calories because I know my daily activity is more than it is when I'm at work. It works for me. :-D
In answer to your other question, open your food diary to get some advice on what could be stalling you.0 -
I eat on average 1644 a day...consistently losing .44 lbs a week ....
not really sure about my goal weight tho....more about how I look and feel.0 -
I just readjusted my caloric intake with my new weight and body fat%. I have set MFP to my TDEE -20% and will eat exercise calories back. My calorie goal is 1295 to lose a half pound a week. My exercise calories burned usually ranges between 400-800 per day. So I will be eating 1695-2095 calories per day. Good Luck!0

10 lbs from goal weight lost 88 eat about 1000 per day. I am known to plateau for a few moths and then BAM! lose 10. I think it;s just the body getting used to the calories-- I have changed up my exercise routine and it seems to work. Also decreased my carbs and upped my protein works too0

10 lbs from my goal my daily intake is around 1300 someday around 1400 it use to be 1200 and I have had binge days too I try and stay within my weekly net calories , but usually around 1300. I don't work out much these days I don't expect to lose the last bit very fast since I have already lost 32 lbs since jan 1st 2013 . I just try and be active when possible with 2 little ones and being a sahm , I just want to hit my goal by Feb. 9th my 30th birthday or very close to it.
I'm 4ft 10in , my current weight puts me on the very end of being healthy at my height so Id like to be further away from so if I gain a few pounds its not as big of a deal anymore.
I weighed 150.5 January 1st 2013 and now I'm 1190 -
I am 4'11, 37 yrs old, 121.6 lbs, lightly active. My daily target is 1300 (no exercise). After exercise, my goal ends up being around 1600. I eat back most of my exercise calories. I have about 6-7 lbs to goal.0
-
13 lbs away... around 1900-2000 calories.0
-
I eat between 1200 and 1500 calories a day. I burn 400 to 500 calories a day for 5 to 6 days. I'm 27 years old I weigh 287.8. I'm about 138 pounds from my goal weight!0

I'm at the same point as you, and stalled for many months now. I weigh around 132lbs, and I'm 8 away from goal weight. I tried upping the calories, lowering the calories, stopped exercise, changed exercise, restarted exercise... nothing. I'm on some kind of unwilling maintenance now, and going to try for the 5:2 to see if I can shift those last few pounds. I tried on Sunday, but went over a bit.
Ah - to answer your question - I ate 1650 calories while doing exercise, then I stopped doing exercise (weather too cold) but still ate the same amount of cals and I didn't gain any weight. Then I recalculated my TDEE without exercise, it dropped to 1450, and I'm not losing any weight either. Body seems to like this weight *roll eyes*0 -
I'm like .5 from goal but sharing what I've done the last 5-6 weeks to lose the last 5lbs. Consistency, 1600 cals a day. I'm 5'6'', was 135.2 at beginning of November, now 130.3 as of last Saturday. I workout 1-1.5hrs a day, heavy lifting, and cardio.0

At 5'9" and age 54, MFP gives me a target of 1370, then I get a 300-600 calorie Fitbit adjustment. So I generally eat 1600-1900. I'm 4 pounds from what is probably my final target of 135.0
-
MFP is set at 1550 using the TDEE-20%. Wanting to lose another 5-10lbs...currently 136 @ 5'5". Haven't lost much b/c I can't get my weekends under control yet.0

bump I am at goal and confused. SO I am bumping for later. Thanks for the post.0

5'2 and 2lbs from goal. Net 1235 calories, but with exercise i eat around 1400-1500.0

I'm 55, 5'5", currently one pound from my goal of 150.
Body fat is 27.6%, which is in the middle of the "ideal" range for a woman my age (source: http://www.accumeasurefitness.com/charts.html)
Other than almost-daily cardio, I'm fairly sedentary.
My average daily total calories consumed for November was 1,627.
My average daily net (total minus exercise calories burned) for November was 1,234.
MFP's daily net goal for me is 1,360, based on a goal of losing a half-pound per week.
My longest plateau was 48 days, during which time my average daily total calories were 1,637 and my average daily net calories were 1,245.
Even with the plateaus, my average weekly weight loss was 3/4 of a pound over the course of 66 weeks. Weight loss slows the closer I get to goal.0 -
I'm about 5 pounds away, hit the goal last month and decided to start bulking to build more muscle. I'm 6', 185ish and was eating 1800-1900 cals/day in early November, upped that to 2200-2400 cals/day in December, which I think is my maintenance. I eat back my exercise cals and am going for a surplus, so I'll probably start eating 2500+ each day in January.0

What other people are eating for caloric intake won't effect what you should be eating.
Why did you increase your calories when you went from 180 to 145 and what pace were you losing weight at when you went from 180 to 145? Can you tell me how many lbs per week you were losing in the past ~8 weeks or so prior to you increasing calories?
Are you using a food scale?0
