Nope! The best cheese is made in America.
Made here in my home state of Missouri:
Osceola Cheese
Several people whom I love are getting some for Christmas this year!0 -

Batter dipped. Actually, the bread gets dredged in egg and cooked like French toast so that the egg isn't all runny, then the cheese gets added. It might sound gross, but it's pretty good. Sometimes I'll add thin slices of green apple. Others add slices of ham.0

It's been years since I've had one but my high school actually made one thing correctly and that was a grilled cheese.
Two buttered and toasted slices of texas toast with two slices of government cheese melted in the middle.
I always ate two. Which is why I'm probably on this site now! :laugh:0 -

looks like someone is talking from experience, lol0 -
Sourdough or extra sour rye bread... pepper jack and extra sharp cheddar cheese, butter on the outsides of the bread to make that yummy crispy outside. Occasionally throw a piece of ham or some pastrami in there... but mostly just the bread and cheese. Hell, when I was a teenager I'd actually just fry up cheese and eat it all melty with the crispy edges. Which, of course, is part of why I'm on this site.0

You must love them dearly! Osceola Cheese is so awesome! I'm up in the KC area, but I try to head that way at least once a year.0 -

Just had to add that my son eats his grilled cheese dipped in pancake syrup. He is fourteen and has eaten it like this since he was three. People always tease him about it and he swears it's the best.0

Sharp cheddar with 2 half pound all beef patties (slightly charred outside and pink in the middle), brown sugar and applewood smoked bacon, sauteed onions, lettuce, tomato, jalapenos, and Jack Daniel's bbq sauce..... If this still qualifies.0

A few days ago my BF made us grilled cheese on white bread but he fried them in amish butter (INCREDIBLE - if you allow any butter at all in your diet amish butter is sickeningly delicious) and used cheddar with a little smear of port wine cheese in the middle.
It was so good, I think it may have been illegal0 -
Sharp cheddar, tomato, bacon.0
