What is the best store bought hummus?

I'm new to using or even trying hummus. I've tried one brand (can't even remember the name of it) and it was disgusting so I'm looking for advise from those who love their hummus! Because I'm trying to make permanent "diet" changes and would like to swap out mayo and ranch dressing for healthier options.

Welcome!

I haven't tried them all, but I enjoy the Athenos brand. They have original, red pepper, and garlic, and I like them all.

I have tried Athenos and Cedar's and both are really good.

    Thank you so much!

I also like Athenos. If you're looking to lighten up recipes, try subbing plain nonfat greek yogurt.

    Sabre'
    sabria?
    however you spell it.

I work at a Lebonse place and produce their own- and my BF's mom makes her own hummus- I'm a hummus freak.

Sabre is the ONLY store bought hummus I will eat.

Tribe is complete and utter rubbish- it's thick- and chalky. it's gross- no good at all.

If you live near a Whole Foods, try Oasis Hummus, only 35 cals per serving (2 tbsp) and actually cheaper than the Sabra and Tribe.

THIS. Their roasted red pepper is pretty good too--that's what I'm having now with my wraps. They also have a roasted garlic flavor, but I haven't tried it yet.

I like Sabra too. It's also super easy to make hummus! All you need are chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice and garlic, pretty much.

I think hummus is an acquired taste. I buy Sabra. I eat it with Fritos. I can't really say I like it with veggies.

Only Sabra! I love the tahini and classic.

re is my favorite hummus hands down. I tried Trader Joes store brand and didn't really care for it. I also like to use boasthouse yogurt based dressings. they are usually 40 calries for 2 tablespoons

I haven't tried that many brands, but Sabra is def the best store bought that I have tried. My fave is roasted red pepper, but the garlic and the spinach and artichoke are also excellent!

I like Trader Joe's Classic (if there's one near you). I also like HyVee's original. I don't like Sabra or Athenos because I can taste the preservatives in them (they taste sour to me).

I like Fontaine Sante, tradional hummus.
And there are no preservatives in it!

I like Sabra the best of all the national brands that I've tried, but my favorite store-bought hummus of all is a grocery store brand - Publix Cilantro and Jalapeno hummus.

    I thought Cedar's was horrible.

I usually buy the Aldi store brand. I can't remember its exact name, but it's the only line they typically sell and available in original, garlic lover's (my favorite), roasted red pepper and occasionally other varieties. It is not the creamiest, but it's VERY good!! Cheap, too.

Athenos is creamier and more like restaurant quality to me, but it's also a lot pricier.

I hate Sabra. Bought a huge container and wound up tossing most of it because it was just not that good at all!

ETA I can't believe everyone's in love with Sabra. O_O
Actually makes me curious enough to try a different variety of Sabra.

    Sabra supremely spicy

This...and I add to it 2 chopped up Serrano or Habanero Peppers.

    I'm a HOT freak!
