hey everyone, im quite new to this and am just interest in hearing about some peoples gym routines? im talking how often you go? how long you stay? and what you do whilst you are there? i go as often as i can, normally 3/4 times a week and am almost finished the C25K programme, which i combine withsome time on the eliptical. i feel that its time for a change and i am worried about what to do next, so any advice at all would be very helpful. thanks

I workout 5-6 times a week but alternate workouts. I am a huge fan of the Les Mills classes they offer at my gym. I just finished C25K and ran my first 5K last Saturday, so I am also going to start running 3 miles 2x per week to hopefully work up to a 10K in the spring. My "long day" is on Wed. and I am usually at the gym 60-75 minutes each visit. I work full time and try to have an active social life, but I have made this a priority....so here is my routine: Monday - BodyFlow (yoga/pilates) 55 mins, Tuesday - CXWORX (core workout) 30 mins and run 3 miles, Wed - BodyPump (weights) 60 mins and BodyFlow 45 mins, Thursday - CXWORX 30 minutes and BodyAttack for 45 minutes (but i usually have a social event on Thursdays, so if so I try to get some sort of cardio in or just do CXWORX), Friday - Off or Run if I didn't on Thursday, Saturday - BodyPump 60 minutes, and Sunday - CXWORXs 30 minutes and Spinning 30 minutes and Zumba for 45 minutes if I am feeling like a little extra. So far I am down 23 lbs since July but I am feeling awesome and I am fine with slower progress - the weight just doesn't seem to come off as easy as it once did :) I would suggest getting some weight training into your routine and BodyPump is a great way to start if your gym offers it or another guided class using weights and/or a bar.
