If they show up on time.
Do it based on their performance.0 -
not if you let him give you a tip.0

helpful hint: the tip I'm talking about is sexual currency only0 -
ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS tip for a service!!! Do not be a jerk, and if you can't afford a tip, do not eat out, especially delivery.0

YES! I don't know of any chain that gives the driver the delivery charge, MAYBE a portion of it. You should be tipping $2 *minimum* on a single large pizza, but preferably $3. More if they are delivering in bad weather, you have a larger order, or you know you're pretty far from the store.
If you can't afford to tip the driver, go pick up your own pizza.
Also, I have no idea what supply and demand has to do with tipping for a pizza.0 -

I don't have a car so I can't get the pizza. It's also a pizza delivery... so what would be the point of me going to pick it up?
Why does the size of the order matter if it's all going in one car anyways?0 -
ill tip you0

I'm sure the two dollars is for fuel charges since they have to buy their own. Always tip !0

The drivers do not receive the 2 dollar delivery charge. They get mileage if they work for a good chain, and they get to keep their tips. I always tip.0

Def. tip....unless they have a bad attitude0

I was a delivery driver. The fee is not for the driver alone, it pays for insurance incase they get in an accident while delivering. Out of the $2.50 fee we only got $1.00 per delivery and since vehicles break down alot easier with delivery miles I can tell you for sure that $1.00 isn't enough. But, really its all about you. Do you feel like having your food "handled" the next time you order because word WILL get around that you don't tip. There's one rule in the food business "Don't treat service people like crap or they may just take it out on your food". I've never "handled" food that way myself but I've seen it done.0
