What are good fiber rich foods?

I need to know what are some good Fiber rich foods but low in Cal and fat and carbs been looking on line but it gives little information And most of the foods that have good fiber are very high in carbs or Cals can anyone recommend anything good?

    The more fiber in something, the more carbs it will have. Fiber is a subset of carbohydrates. But for me, my favorite fiber sources are oatmeal, corn, and peanut butter.

    Other great sources are beans, lentils, figs. Google "high fiber food" and you will find all sorts of lists.

    asparagus, brussel sprouts, all leafy greens and most non starchy veggies for that matter...

    Blackberries, raspberries, pears, green and yellow beans. Those are my faves. Not really going to find many high fibber foods that are low in carbs.

    beans! you can cook them up in a stew and they add a hearty feel and absorb wtv flavor you put in them.

    broccoli - again, put wtv flavor you want on it or even a little bit of cheese

    CHIA SEEDS!! Add them to your shakes, yogurts, soups, salads, etc. many other benefits as well. A daily regimen for me. :)

    So if you had something w/ 14 carbs, and 11 gr of fiber....then your net carbs is 3 gr.

    It's been a while, but if I remember correctly, this formula works for items containing 5 grams of fiber or more. So while shredded wheat is high in carbs, it's also high in fiber, and the fiber helps regulate blood sugar spikes.

    There are a lot of cereals, wraps and breads that are high in fiber. I like La Banderita wraps, and Healthy Life whole wheat bread. Be wary of cereal bars like Fiber One, they can cause a lot of gas if you're not used to them.

    Fiber One bars....it's the chicory root (inulin) ....really horrible

    Add fiber to your diet gradually....if you are not used to a lot of fiber now....don't double it overnight.

    I've always wondered what chia seeds taste like.. They look super unappetizing to me.

    They have a super gross texture once they absorb enough liquid and swell up.

    Judging by a few of my friend's diaries, Quest bars have a LOT of fiber in them. Too bad I don't like them :grumble:

    The best I've found for high fiber (that isn't added in) is berries. Especially raspberries (NOT strawberries, though).

    I have a smoothie every night with raspberries, blueberries and blackberries and it has a ton of fiber.

    Almonds (Blue Diamond Wasabi & Soy, so good!), Ground flax seed, avocado, plywood, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage, chia (yuck)...

    cruciferous veggies, berries, flax/chia seeds are some of your best bang for your calorie buck while still being whole, nutritious foods.

    raspberries and blackberries in particular on the berries.

    blueberries are my favorite. I add a cup to my protein powder/ greek yogurt and get ~ 5g of fiber from them.

    For me, definitely oat meal is at the top (or, actually, I eat oat bran). Followed by bananas, black beans, collard greens. Flax seed sprinkled in my yogurt.
