Wait for about an hour after eating to workout to Avoid that feeling0

I usually eat a granola bar just to make sure I have enough energy to keep going, but full breakfast waits till after.0
-
Yep. I often do a 10k run first thing in the morning, without eating ahead of time.0

Normally I like to workout in the afternoon or evening; but if I don't have a choice than I don't eat until after my workout. Just all around better that way.0

I tend to eat something small before I workout, but I know a lot of people who do not0 -
I usually workout every morning and night. My eating is different for both. M-F, I am up by 5:30. I am completely unable to eat just before a workout .. I need to wait at least an hour. During the week in the morning, I do my workout with no problem. Within an hour of working out, I will have a banana. This is not my breakfast but it holds me over until I can eat breakfast as I'm usually prepping for work, getting the kids up and out and then driving to work. On S & S, I sleep in and will have an apple 30 minutes before working out. Immediately following my workout, I will prepare my breakfast. During my night workouts, I NEVER eat before, except for an apple or occasionally some PB. Again, within an hour of working out I will have some protein for the muscle repair but usually I eat dinner a little later.
It's all personal. What works for some doesn't work for others.0 -
I'm at the gym at 4 AM and I don't eat before. I'm totally not hungry before I work out.0

I work out in the evening.0

I eat after I've worked out0

I can't eat before working out. I feel light-headed when I do. I eat breakfast AFTER.0

If I work out in the morning, I don't eat but I do have a coffee with gelatin and coconut oil whizzed through. I eat when I get home.0

I work out (on weight days) at 5am and don't eat anything before I start.
When I run in the hot summer months, I go early and without food - gotta beat the heat. This time of year, when I run later, I usually have breakfast 2 hours before the run.
As others have said - do what works best for you.0 -
I usually don't eat first. If I do it has to be 2 hours before, otherwise I get nauseous.0

I go to the gym after work usually, but yesterday I went on my day off and didn't eat beforehand as I just wasn't hungry. I can't workout for 2 hours after a meal usually.0

I don't eat before running in the morning. If I'm going any other time I will try to leave four hours after my last meal as I find running with anything in my stomach a bit of a trial. I use energy gels and sweets if I'm going on a long run as they don't have anything solid about them.0

I take a preworkout & out the door I go. Breakfast as soon as I am done0

I run between 4.30 - 5 in the morning, and then come home and take breakfast and a cup of tea back to bed with me. .
Tried running later after breakfast, but tea just sloshes around..or feels like0 -
I like to workout after I eat because it aids digestion and balances blood sugar. I read that it's best to wait about 15 minutes after eating, though.
It's a good way to learn not to overeat. If you don't want to throw up during your workout, you wont eat so much before hand.
Oh, my exercise is weight lifting and walking, and the most intense is jump roping, so that may explain why I can do it. Even the few times I've jogged, it was at the end of my walk and more than a 1/2 hour after eating.0 -
I swim for fitness and cannot swim if I have eaten in the previous 4-6 hours. Horrible feeling and it makes me sluggish too...0

This!
I very rarely eat breakfast because if I do I am hungry all day and just want to sit on my butt and eat!0 -
I've tried both when I do 6am gym sessions. If I'm doing cardio, then not eating seems to work best for me, but if I'm doing strength training, then eating something small (half a banana, for example) seems to give me a bit of extra pep.
I always have a coffee first, though. Always, always coffee0 -
I don't eat before my workout, but I drink 500ml of water before I start.0

For me it would depend on the kind of workout (harder I would need some kind of snack which I don't consider breakfast) and at what time in the morning. I try to eat enough to keep my strength up through the work out (banana, string cheese, etc.) but not too much that I'd get cramps.0

3 of my 5 weekly workouts take place in the morning. I never eat before ... although the 2 cups of coffee are a base necessity!
The two days a week that are afternoon workouts typically end up being about 4 hours after my last real meal, so it doesn't affect the sloshy feeling.
OTOH, my wife needs to eat at least something an hour before she works out.
Personal preference indeed!0 -
I have to! I always exercise in the mornings and I always wake up hungry. I grab a light healthy snack, and then have porridge after :-)0
-
I'm up at 4:30 to be at the gym by 5a. I rarely eat anything before working, but will hydrate with water before working out.
Once in a blue moon I may have a plain greek yogurt if I'm really hungry.
Keep kicking a**!0 -
I never eat before a run.0
