Eating Habbits

I have been eating roughly to 1200-1500 calories a day.
Stats: 24 years old, female, 5'3, 168lbs.

I excersise 5-6 days out of the week, I hit a plateau a few months ago, so i decided to join the classes available at my gym. I usually participate in spin class and a weight lifting class called body pump. I also would do my regular exercise and cardio. I also started "Insanity" too. Ive notice my body wanting more food, so I did some research. My body should be comsuming WAY more calories. But my question is, with the amount of excercise I do daily, should i be worried about gaining weight, if I start eating more calories. I notice that the more eat, the more energy I have do to the insanity workouts as well. Has anymore else try increasing their calorie in take and saw success? I have defintely seen more muscle and tonage as well on my body since starting the classes and insanity too!

  • Judang,
What does MFP say about the extra calories you've earned by exercising?
Some folks just 'eat back' half the extra amount to fuel their bodies.

Search for "eat more to lose weight" threads in MFP forums.

    Best wishes!

Off topic but I had to do a double take on the title - originally read it as 'Eating Hobbits'.

As a habituall Hobbit-eater, I can confirm that they are delicious. Lovely and tender, slow cook them to render out most of the fat...
