Do you guys workout alone for the most part? Or do you have a partner? I workout 7 days a week and always workout alone but sometimes I really wish I had a workout partner!

I run, MetabolicMelissa, and have found that it works best for me that way. If I were to lift, and partner would be great, IMHO.0

I always end up working out alone, mainly because my work schedule is so odd compared to the rest of the world. I stick to hiking, skiing, and running for outdoor cardio workouts and i have a gym in my basement for weight days.0

The majority of my workouts right now are classes or small group training sessions. It motivates me and pushes me harder then I tend to do alone.0

I lift on the weekends after I do my cardio and often wish I had someone there with me!0

Me too, but I'm making friends at my gym, so I can always ask for help or a spot.0 -
I prefer to work out with my wife, but usually I am alone.0

I prefer for people to not bother me. My husband and I go separate times during the week, but on the weekends we go together - after our 4 min warm-up, we don't really acknowledge the other one is there until we are done.0

i lift with a partner 2 days a week and solo one day0

At the gym doing weights, I prefer to be alone. That way I can get done quicker.
If I'm going for a bike ride, I prefer to go with a few friends if they can keep up, otherwise, I'd rather do that alone as well.
And I shouldn't say alone...I always have some tunes keeping me company.0 -
I always work out on my own, I do enjoy just being by myself, switched off to the world with my headphones in. And sometimes I just need to visit the gym for that stress relief and get away from everyone/thing.
Saying this, I would quite like to have a training partner some days as I think I would be able to push myself harder with the help of a spotter.0 -
I prefer to workout alone..... I zone out everything around me and am in my own little world.. lol Now I have been at my gym for 4 years and the regulars know if they need a spot come get me and vise versa but I am a loner.... :glasses:0

I am too a loner.. I wish I have someone I can get some motivations but even my own husband... nadda! he just want to play with his playstation rather that working out with me.. :sad:0

sadly i've been alone ....my workout buddy's schedule changed....i do get done quicker but it was so much more fun when i had a buddy - thank goodness for headphones and Beyonce's new music !!! LOL
i JUST told my boyfriend that he "didn't need a partner" "suck it up and just do it" ...a partner will fall into place if he would establish a set time !! LOL so insensitive0 -

i prefer to do cardio alone. i like to put my headphones in and just get it on. i do have a friend that likes to come with me somedays and it is nice (as long as she puts her headphones in too and doesnt want to chat it up) however i do like her there when we are doing weights. much more than when im by myself.0

I have a lifting buddy, he's about 90% reliable, My wife also joins me when she can. There are a few days when I'm alone, just means I skip the bench and do more deads and squats, which is just fine by me.

i for the most part workout alone, sometimes my bf will workout with me at home doing insanity. i would like to start a lifting program in Jan and I wish i had someone to do it with me!0

I would love a workout partner. We could spot each other, high-five, enjoy our post-work out protein shake together and talk about techniques and accessory work we could try to help us achieve new PR's. It would be epic. And if it were my hubs, we could have hot, primal, endorphin-buzzed, post-workout...cardio.0

I would say is have a workout partner about 25% of the time. My husband and I are good at keeping each other accountable for getting our exercise in, but often work out on our own. One of my friends asked me to help her start a running program, so twice a week she meets me after I do a short run by myself and we do C25K together.
I used to do a spinning class twice a week, but I moved and haven't gotten a new gym membership. I miss spinning, but my husband and I agreed to see if we can find an exercise routine we each like without spending the money on a gym.
I have also joined half marathon training programs in the past where I did my long runs with a group. The accountability was fantastic when I was new to half marathons, but I have realized that I really do prefer doing my long runs by myself.0 -

I like listening to music while I do cardio but doing 35 minutes of cardio, 7 days a week for over 5 months now, it does get a bit lonely. I always wish I had someone to lift weights with. It's much better with a partner.0

I mostly take classes at my gym so there are plenty of people around and I'm starting to know people. However, I also use YouTube videos to do Zumba in my building and I'm by myself. It's a good mix for me.0

I workout with my brother during the week. I do a circuit training workout with my wife (& sometimes daughter) on Saturday. But when I run, I prefer to be alone. Everyone wants to "encourage" me to run at their pace. Uh, no. My brother and I will ride bikes together during the summer at a moderate pace (12 miles in an hour) when we can get free.0

I do it all alone.
About 7 years ago I trained with a friend for about 2 years. He had never done any exercise, ever. Coaching him and doing running and weight lifting together was quite a fantastic experience. Once he started making positive improvements, his enthusiasm was contagious. I ended up making the best gains ever. Also it was a joy to go to the gym, too bad he moved. If you get a partner, its best to find someone who will stick with it and can workout at the same scheduled times as you. My friend was very flexible and ready to go when ever I went.
On the flip side, I have attempted several other work out partners. They usually poop out very soon. They want to look perfect, lift alot, but give up after a few weeks. This has a bit of the opposite effect.
So the benefits are great. Maybe you can find a partner a few times a week or once a week? I do have a friend or two that we run together once a month or so. Its fun. I just run what ever pace he runs. The time flies and provides a good change for me.0
