IS ANYONE HERE ON ACE?

I've been taking it on and off for the last year or so... Currently on it again. I find that without it I am hungrier.. I did go off it for a few months and only gained back the 10 pounds I've now been struggling with again for the last 5 months.... I think it's definitely easier to diet when I'm on it. However, Its not needed. A lot of the time I feel like I could be taking a placebo and telling myself it's an appetite supressant and have it work for me. Power of suggestion mot of the time..
It hasn't worked as well for my mom. My dad took it and it helped him lose a few pounds too, but he is a lifter. he goes into his weight room every day.
1. It has caffeine and Geranium in it, both of which are mild appetite suppressants.
2. Funny thing about placebos is .. sometimes they work.
I'm of the opinion you can accomplish the same thing with a cup of coffee.
yeah, unfortunately..i don't like coffee0 -

And by skinny people, I'm referring to those who don't need this site because they have never struggled with their weight, not people who have struggled and lost the weight.
Just because you see where we are doesn't mean you know where we're coming from. The overwhelming majority of users in this site are here because we struggled with weight loss. Many of us have tried BS pills, fad diets, overpriced shakes and who knows what.
When you see someone with a good looking profile picture, you'd be wise to think "there's a success story I could learn from" rather than "this skinny jackhole doesn't realize the issues I face"0 -
Seriously, who are we to judge? No one here is better than anyone else for whatever methods they used to get where they are. The beauty of science is that it's about experimenting and making new ground, new discoveries. Nothing is scientific certainty. Claims "backed by science" are nothing more than peer-reviewed experiments.
There are a lot of "scientific proofs" about what workes for weight loss and what doesn't. Take the low-fat craze versus the Ketogenic diet. Both have relatively sound "scientific proof". What a lot of MFP's users forget is that everyone is different. Everyone's bodies are different. Cellularly, we arenearly identical, but the way those cells behave is astronomically varying. There doesn't need to be any criticizm or snarky posts. Much like religion, weight loss is really sensitive for a lot of people. How would you feel when you have door-to-door evangelists come to your door? (As an example). Most people are annoyed. The same goes with these kinds of discussions. Please remember, when replying to threads like this, that these strangers on the internet are people, too. "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."0 -

Pretty sure he said that since OP said thisIt would have been different if they wouldn't have started out by telling me they were better than me because they didn't take pills to lose the weight.

It would have been different if they wouldn't have started out by telling me they were better than me because they didn't take pills to lose the weight. Or making fun of me for using caps lock or just generally insulting me. All I wanted was advice on ACE, that's it.
To be accurate, I didn't see anyone ever say they were better than anyone else. I saw that they said they didn't need to use pills to lose weight, and just followed a minor calorie deficit, and point out that each one of them had lost over 100 pounds by doing so (good job for that BTWm guys and gals). I think someone else read that as them saying they were better, and running with that. Go back to page 1 and read their original posts.0 -
Wow, pretty sure I asked for RESULTS from using it. I didn't say I needed it, I was simply asking those who have taken it what their results were.
Pretty sure people are going to give you advice that will work for the long term and help you lose weight in a healthy and sustainable manner. FYI, taking a pill is not going to be a long term solution.
Ya but it was written like advice was it? It was snarky and rude, like she is better than people who take pills.
This X 1,000!! I hate bullies and that is exactly how some adults act on here!
The "B" word??? Already? She's just 8 posts in and already the B-word.
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, WE HAVE A NEW RECORD
:indifferent: I've been using this site for years now just forgot my old password. But good job on proving my point!
Um what?
He made an observation based on the information available at the time. Your post count, and what you said in your post.
Now simple observations = bullying?
If you can't see how that was sarcastic and rude, I don't know what else to tell ya! :ohwell:
What color is the sun in your world?
That was me being sarcastic and rude.....and legitimately asking. Because in what world does sarcasm mean bullying?0 -

- Scientific certainty which shows we are not THAT different: If you eat fewer calories than you take in, you will lose weight. This happens no matter who you are
- Weight loss may occur more slowly in some people, but it is still cals in versus cals out
- Please show me a weight loss pill that is proven to work, without fail
- Please show me a weight loss fad that is proven to work, without fail
- Coming to an online forum and asking for advice is not the same as a random stranger coming up to your door and offering your their viewpoints0 -

Well I had a friend that was selling them. They are all natural ingredients. I had my doctor even look at it and she didn't say that I shouldn't take them. So if I got doctor's approval then technically it's the same as getting a dr to subscribe painkillers...
Again, i don't take them as often as I used to, and they did work for me. I had always been an overweight child and was that type of person that if a diet didnt show me losing weight after a week i quit. I started taking healthe trim but there were so many restrictions with what you could/couldn't eat. so when my friend had ACE I decided to try (rather, my mom and I went in together and did a half/half split of the bottle) and I saw results and felt better than on the previous pill.0 -

OP - My advice is to stop taking the pills, and continue on with your diet and (planned) exercise. After one month, see what progress you have made. If you want to add in the pills at that point, go ahead and add them for a month. See if that affects your progress.
Changing everything at once is going to result in you not knowing where the results are coming from. Is it from diet? Is it from cutting out all the sugary drinks and drinking only water and morning coffee? Is it from the increase in exercise? Is if from the pills?
If you don't do a trial run, you'll have to keep buying those expensive pills, because you'll *think* they work, even though you don't really know if they are truly doing anything for you.
^^^ THIS. To the point, on target advice.
If you want MY opinion on what approach to take based upon my experience - I would be more than Happy to share that with you.
In regard to your actual question within the context that you asked it : The response that this individual gave you is golden.0 -

Ace bandages? Yes, they will make you appear slimmer. They may cut off circulation though, so be careful to release pressure every so often for proper blood flow.0

Wut? How do you even logic.
OP: Diet pills are silly. Eat less, move more, enjoy the magic. If you can't manage those two very simple ideals then any weight you lose will probably come back because you'll still be lacking the fundamental skills for success.
Chick who is sticking up for the OP/calling out bullies: You're silly. Stop.
Everyone else: Carry on.0 -

I don't need pills to lose weight. I just eat at a healthy (which is more the 1200 calories) deficit and exercise. See ticker below.
1,200 calories doesn't do it for me either lol0 -

had to look it up thinking it was a cool all natural ingredient like arsenic or uranium. meh, it's nutmeg0
