Eggs

I've seen online that eggs should be consumed at one per day at most. Does anyone know (from a nutritionist or doctor etc) if that is actually true?
I ask because I'm on an egg kick lately and have been eating at least two eggs most days. Thank you in advance for your response.

Have at it, eggs are great nutrition.
Dietary cholesterol does not affect cholesterol in the blood and in any case the cholesterol turns out not to be the bad guy.
I am of course an expert so take my word for it.
I'm having a huge omelette later just for the hell of it ... full fat cheesy omelette ... Lovely.0 -
I wish I could eat them, they are a quick easy pretty low calorie source of protein. I wouldn't worry about having more than 1 egg a day.0

Eating just one egg is crazy. Eggs are a great source of protein, are fairly low cal, and can be yummy.

I can't even imagine just eating one egg.0

sometimes as a snack I eat the white of a hard boiled egg...I say this because some people are worried about the yolk. I normally eat the whole egg...they are a really good source of protein.0

I add a serving (3 tbsp) of egg whites to an egg each and every day.0

Eggs are one of nature's superfoods. I know there was a theory floating around that claims eggs raise cholesterol levels. No worries though, recently it has been proven that the cholesterol in the diet doesn’t really raise the cholesterol in blood. In fact, eggs primarily raise the “good” cholesterol and are NOT associated with increased risk of heart disease. Eggs are an excellent source of protein, healthy fats, and the yolks are a good source of Omega-3s, which are awesome for you. They also contain riboflavin and Vitamin B12. Obviously, you don't want to eat eggs for every meal, but 2-3 eggs a day is perfectly fine. Enjoy0

I think it's an old wives tale. My Mum used to tell me not to eat too many eggs in one week?!?0

They are really good for you (yolks too!) so don't skimp! i hate all the recipes with whites only because the good stuff is in the yolks.0

Considering I just had close to 14 eggs for dinner and haven't died, I think you're good.0

I have 2 and sometimes 3 hard boiled eggs/day. Love em!! So healthy too.0

Luv them eggs. They are very high on the list of foods that offer superb satiation relative to calories. I think they got their original bad rap via guilt by association when having eggs every morning meant frying them in margarine, covering them in salt, serving them with heavily processed bacon and chasing them with three cups of coffee containing creme and sugar. Not to mention the cigarette before work. Eggs were probably not the biggest heart risk in that combination.0

I knew a guy that ate a dozen eggs (with an entire stick of butter). For six months.
He lost like 20 pounds and got great blood tests back, so go for it.0 -
