Rest days from working out

Anyone else get hungrier on their rest days too? I am just wondering because it seems a lot of times that happens to me. Like, typically for some reason when I run I am not very hungry then and find I am only eating under a thousand calories. But it's not my fault really because I literally am not hungry. And I'm not going to freaking eat more if I am not hungry. So I don't get why rest days I am more hungry. I looked it up and I found apparently on rest days the person would typically need more food because their muscles are repairing those days. But, shouldn't that be the other way around?
Also, women how do you feel when your period comes and the cravings also when you're losing weight. Me, I personally hate it. I always feel so freaking fat when my period comes and it sucks big time. Ugh! :P

Take a look at your weekly consumption, if you eat less on some days because you are not hungry than it makes sense your body is going to be hungrier eventually to get what it needs.
If you don't like the idea of going over on a day, eat more calories everyday, not more food just higher calorie food, so you don't get those super hungry days.
As for period time, I get bloated and realise it is just part of life. 5 days later everything is back to normal.0 -
sounds like you're hungrier because those other days you're not eating enough.
you shouldnt mistake hunger (or lack thereof) to be any sort of indication of how much you should be eating. the hormones that control hunger can be manipulated .
also depending on your workout, that idea of being hungry on rest days because your muscles are repairing should be taken with a grain of salt.0 -
Yep I get mad munchies on rest days and right before my monthly visitor. Getting out the house helps more than anything.0

No... I just think I'm hungry and eat out of boredom!
To be honest though, on the previous calorie method I used, I would get huuuungry! It's just what works for me though! I prefer consistency0 -

I do tend to eat less on days I really work out hard, with long runs or long time lifting, I am just not hungry after a good workout. That said, I do make myself eat. If I don't I will be starving as my body is in recovery mode the next day.0
