How to spend my Christmas $$? Fitbit vs T25

Options
I have $100 to spend but I know T25 and the newest Fitbit are about $120 each but not sure which I should invest in now. I just finished Body Revolution in November and planned on doing another round starting January 5th but now that I have some cash from Christmas, I am thinking maybe I could start Focus T25 now instead of waiting until after my second round of BR. I see a lot of hype about the Fitbit and wondering which would be a better investment. I would likely get the other around July for my birthday but I have a 20 lb goal by May in the meantime I am trying to make. Which would be more helpful in reaching my goal?

I am a stay at home mother with a three year old and 18 month old if that gives you an idea of my activity level throughout the day. TIA

Do you have any sort of HRM now? If not, you seem to be losing weight just fine without the gadgets. I tend to be on the side of people who say they are fun toys but unnecessary toys.

If it was my $100, I would be buying myself some 35 pound dumbbells or saving it toward a power cage.

I do have a HRM that I am fine with. I just bought a pair of 10 lbs so I am far from reaching for 35 lol. I would just save it for clothes when this weight it gone but that seems so far off!

I have the fitbit zip ($50) and LOVE it! I had the original fitbit one and liked that as well, but when I got a new one got the cheaper one bc I never used the sleep mode or cared about elevation (stairs).

My advice would be to spend $50 on the zip and the other $50 on new workout clothing (I always feel I work out harder when in new clothes :)

I have a fitbit, and its a waste of money. Its a glorified step counter. If you want a step counter, just go buy a cheaper one. All you need is a HRM. Buy some protein powder, buy some clothes that won't fit just yet. Make them your goal clothes.

I ordered a Fitbit with my Christmas $$$ and I'm VERY excited to get it! I've heard good, I've heard bad and I'm just really excited to try it out myself, ya know? I'm sorry. I'm still so new to this whole healthy/fitness thing, I've got no idea what the T25 is. :)

I probably should have been clear on that. It is Focus T25. It is a workout program from Beach Body.

T25 all the way. It is totally worth your money. Besides the fitbits apparently don't give the best calorie reading on them since there is no chest strap for accuracy.

I haven't bought it, yet because I'm trying to use the DVDs that I already have.
Users on videofitness.com are raving about it though.
Also check out the reviews on Walmart.com.

You could also go the YouTube route and pay $0 for free, legit workouts.
I lost 23lbs doing BeFit in 90 and HASFit.

I see you mentioned that you already have a HRM. That is all you need. A fitbit is just a step counter with a few extra bonuses essentially and it doesnt even have the HRM feature. Also T25 is good but there are SO many free workouts online now a days I would just use the money for some equipment. Get a few sizes of dumbells, a kettlebell or resistance bands with your money.
