I got a Fit Bit Force for Christmas. I wore it at Turbo Kick this morning. MFP puts me at something like 400 calories for the 30 minutes. My Fit Bit had me at 260.
Damn.
Damn.

Fitbit only counts steps. So if that class is a lot of in place movement it is likely that you burned more calories than your fitbit recognizes. If it was a class like Zumba or something where you are constantly moving across the floor, it tends to be more accurate.0

yeah, it's a lot of in place kicks and punches.0

This is why I love my BodyMedia...it uses more than steps to determine burn.0

Buy a heartrate monitor that consistently measures while you are exercising, it will give you the most accurate results in any exercise.0

I asked for a heart rate monitor. I got a fit bit. my husband tried.0

Yeah you have to use your common sense for things like this, and all of exercise and dieting for that matter. Since it's a step counter,it is not going to calculate a workout properly unless you're walking or running.0
