Im just new to fitnesspal and think its a wonderful quick and easy way to keep track on my daily diet/exercise!!
i go to the gym 5 times weekly and never eat unhealthy, but i am constantly eating, it has been a real surprise how quickly calories add up...even when it is healthy food! hence why i probably havnt lost weight in the past!
i am just wondering how you mange to feel fuller for longer when i cant bulk up on wheat and gluten!??

Easy fill up on veggies fruit lean protien. You can by bread that is gluten free. Eating oat bran or oatmeal for breakfest with egg or another source of protein. Eating lean protein with your complex carbs keep you satisfied and full longet. Remember Healthy food does not come from a box(AKA processed diest foods ect)0

Hi Jayne!
I am gluten free as well, and I deal with the same issue, made even more challenging due to the fact that I am a 99% vegetarian (will do one to two servings of fish a month for health purposes if I feel that my body is asking for it). I tend to go for granola and Santitos tortilla chips. While I am still within calories, I am certain these carbs are getting in the way of any progress (I am still at starting weight at 15 days -- ugh). I try to eat beans, but same issues with carbs for such a small amount. I love steamed sweet potatoes, but also really high. I do have a great recipe for gluten free black bean veggie burgers I can share with you, a bit of prep work but worth it, made with Quinoa. I eat a ton of grilled and stir fried veggies. Another staple for me is grilled eggplant, filling and tasty and very low in everything. I eat this first and I find I then eat less of everything else since it fills my belly.
I tend not to do carb free bread or pastas since I do not like these things, may do one slice of Rudy's now and again and recently some brown rice.
I will send you a friend request and we can chat more about this, and maybe share some gluten free recipe ideas. Welcome!!

Hi Jayne,
I am choosing to eat gluten free and love brown rice, brown rice pasta and lentils. I make cold salads, rice and grilled chicken/vegies and the ultimate comfort food...Annie's brown rice Mac & Cheese. Trader Joe's offers quite a few Gluten-free products that aren't as expensive as those found in 'health food' stores.
I will send a friend request as well,

I've been gluten free for almost 2 years. I lost 80 lbs in about a 18 months after making some major diet changes. I mostly eat fresh fuits, lots of veggies, lean protein (fish, chicken, eggs) and grains like brown rice, quinoa, oats. I do have my moments when I just want to eat what everone else is eating, so I have found a few items at the health food store like UDI's bread. It actually makes the best toast! Betty Crocker G/F chocolate chip cookie mix is really good too and you can use it as a bar cookie crust or cheese cake crust-yum! Bob's Red Mill pizza crust is really good and if I am craving chocolate one small square of dark chocolate is only about 40 calories. There are lots of things we can eat if we just experiment with food in it's more natural state.0

Proteins, and food with high fiber content help me stay full. I eat oatmeal, or pure egg whites.0
