up 12 lbs from start of December..
who cares, easy come easy go !
- it is not rocket science how I managed it, and no one can accuse me of being a bah humbug and party pooper over the festive season !
Roll on new year !0 -
I'm up 3kg; but that WILL be gone plus a bit by the end of Jan!0
-
the day after Christmas I was up 4 lb but I weigh today and that was all gone my official day to weigh is Monday so I will see what king of loss I will get with my calories on Christmas iam only gong to average a 200 to 400 a day average defict for the week so I will be happy with just staying the same if I lost that's just a bonus as I ate whatever I wanted on Christmas and drank on Christmas eve.0

Yes....I put on 4.6 pounds, putting me back in the next higher up weight bracket (I was at 348 before Christmas, now at 353). It was also my period this week, so I knew I was going to gain some. But at least it wasn't too bad!0

after thanksgiving , i literally gained 8 lbs in 2 days lol

Im going to buck the trend here, I actually lost weight over the Christmas week oh the joys of working nights and not being able to drink. For me because I only have a flat Christmas meal alcohol is the kicker no over eating of yummy yummy food.0
-
I didn't put on any weight hee hee0
-
I weighed myself after christmas day was up 1.5-2lbs. I haven't weighed myself again I haven't been to the gym either. I'm waiting til my weigh day in January now.0

I've just joined tonight been going great guns on my own lost 2 stone since September but just weighed in after Christmas and gained 4 pounds. Can someone please help me to refocus there's so much bloody food in the house!! :-(0
-
I know there are others who would say "make it fit into your eating plan," but for me the answer is: throw or give it away. And then keep your food scale on the counter for a couple of days so you can log everything precisely.0

there's so much bloody food in the house!! :-(
What was meant to be one or two days of over eating has now turned into 4 days! So I've decided I'll have ONE more day then start totally afresh on Monday. Hopefully by then I'll have ate everything I could want, and not feel too bothered about all the food in the house. Weighed every morning since Christmas Eve (I know), and fluctuated about 6lb.0 -
I was worried about gaining from all the christmas food. I finished 1 round tin chocolates , 1 small box of chocolates and a small packet of chocolates plus biscuits an crisps. I was about 65ish only went up to 66.5. Not too bad as I thought it would be. I've been drinking so much water each day I don't know if the water helped although I haven't eaten that much waking up late skipped breakfast occasionally. An before christmas the month I wasn't eating any chocolates or sweets, crisps etc. There's not too much left now. There is a tin unopened think I'll give it a miss.0

So my mother in law was given the $100 basket of chocolate. 5lbs of handmade milk and white chocolate from Harry and David. She is a marathoner. She gave it to my husband, a runner and biker. He handed it to me to take to coffee break after Mass at St Mary's. unopened, untouched. When I asked if he wanted to sample it first he quoted Dirty Harry ...."A man has got to know his limitations". Take all those leftovers to church or work or throw them away.0
-
I put on two but -- TMI alert-- my period's due in a few days. I'm really hoping it melts off after that, especially since I've been pretty much plateau'd since Thanksgiving :-(.0
-
I weigh myself tomorrow morning ! but, i'm sure i'll be up a few pounds too. Don't panic, just get back out there, up there, on there !! heehehe whatever it is that you do to exercise or burn off the calories. I plan to get back outside and walk more.0
-
Weigh-in day is Monday ... not looking forward to it.0
-
I'm too afraid to weigh myself yet... haha I'm actually planning on NOT weighing myself and getting back to all my usual eating and exercising and hope in a week or two when I finally gain the courage to weigh myself again, I won't even know how much I gained!
Strange method? Maybe. But it makes me feel a bit better.
On a side note, I am SO HAPPY to have this thread to read after I just ate WAY too many Christmas cookies and was feeling really guilty about falling short of my usual ultra-healthy eating habits. You all are right, I am healthy and active and a few pounds over the holidays isn't going to destroy all the hard work I've done over the last two years.
Thanks everyone. And the cookies were freakin' DELICIOUS, by the way.0 -
My weigh-in is tomorrow afternoon, I snuck an unofficial one just now and I gained a couple pounds, I normally eat light Sunday meals so I hope to maintain my previous weight.
Here is what I was tempted by (I was assigned to bring homemade Chili and confections to the family dinner)...
I made Peanut Butter Balls, think a large jar of Creamy PB, 3/4 of a bag of powered sugar and semi-sweet or dark chocolate, heaven might taste like these and I bloody made about 60 and ate two or three, normally, I eat 10 or more. I used the Recipe builder here and they came out to be only about 166 calories each.
I made Take 5's, again, maybe one or two were eaten. 228 calories each. I made bird's nests with Chow Mein Noodles and chocolate, ate one maybe, about 211 calories. I made Chili (279 C), Spaghetti Sauce (247 C), Salsa (73 C), Vegetable Soup , Chicken Cashew Casserole (366 C) , yeah, I was off work and busy cooking.
And, with any luck and immense control, I may break even, I will post tomorrow afternoon!0 -
I gained 3 =( I may have to wait until summer to lose it (and more) since I am 10 weeks pregnant. I really wanted to put off weight gain as long as possible, but it is what it is I guess.0
-
i am the same weight. but feeling sick after eating so much butter0
-
I weighed in on Monday the 23 @ 255, stepped up on the scales on Thursday morning the 26 and was 249.8, this morning was 250.4 ..........0
-
Yes it's a hard time of the year. If I can help in any way please ask. Good luck for the future x0
-
Ehhh up 2... the result of lots of "f'it moments" but hey tomorrow is a new day... each day is. Begin again0
-
I went down 3 lbs from where I was (but that was up about a lb or so). The thing is, I've stayed down each day since! That's unusual. I didn't go over maintenance by much, but I'm doing better on the scale than usual, lol. Weird. Eggnog is magic0
-
Lost a lil more than 2 lbs.0
-
Lost .8kg (1.7lbs). Planned my Christmas day as its the beginning of my journey and didn't want to derail.0
