Hey everyone! So I'm a cardio junkie who finally had the epiphany this month that cardio isn't enough, strength training is very important too!
So anyway, despite all the weight I've lost the past couple months on my walks and runs, my hips are still ... very problematic. Although I'm wearing smaller pants, I'm *still* wearing 'granny' pants to smooth my waist out, heh.
So far I've been doing bridge and plank a few times a day each, increasing the amount of time each new day. So I was wondering how effective will this be? Assuming I continue doing it everyday and increasing my time, can I expect to see some results in a few weeks/months?
Can anyone recommend additional at-home-no-equipment-required stretches/exercises to help speed up the process of toning up my waist?

Add mountain climbers and burpees.0

Ab/core exercises will build up the muscles around that area, but if you still have too much fat covering that area then it won't really look too much different unfortunately.0

Thanks both of you for your answers. That's super helpful. I'll still be doing my runs to help burn off the fat, so hopefully the combination will yield some results by Spring!0

Unfortunately you can't target fat loss in certain areas, so just keep doing what you're doing and losing the fat, and eventually you'll lose it from that area.0

I can't help because I have a similar problem. I've lost weight everywhere except my mid-section. It's SO frustrating.0
