Heart Rate Monitor Help!

HRM Question - my HRM is just a watch style, no chest strap, but it does have ECG accuracy. Does anyone have issues with accuracy on their HRMs???

as long as your HRM asks for your age and weight it will be fine and will record your heart rate pretty acurately. You do not need a chest strap.....been using my watch style for years and it records really well
  • That's what I was thinking. I appreciate your comment. =]

I have a Sportline HRM and it's pretty accurate. I found a supposedly better, more expensive one on Amazon that came with a chest strap but that one wasn't accurate, and it broke after a week. Needless to say, I sent it back and went back to my no frills one. :)

Thanks! I have the basic, $20-$30 Sportline S7 from Walmart =]

That's probably the one I have too! :) lol I tested the accuracy via one of the top of the line treadmills at my gym and it was reading the same as the treadmill, so I'm sold!
