Newbie drinking game.

Ok... we're t-minus 3 days, give or take, from the flood of New Year noobs who will flock to this board and log in faithfully for about, oh, I dunno... 34 days. Time for a healthful drinking game. Everyone takes a shot of water when we hear the following worn out promises, oaths, declarations and statements of intent....

I'll start things off:

"I'm really serious about losing weight this time."

*shrugs* I was a newbie 2 years ago in January. I never made any of those declarations, but we all gotta start somewhere.

I don't think it makes me look like an *kitten* at all. Any other person passing through wouldn't know you had another account before either. You have to look at what you posted and all the elements of it and understand that's what people are gonna see.
    Do the math.

I can vouch for him. he has been on a lot longer, but gained back a bunch (he feels he lost his rock start status) so started a new profile for a fresh start.

    That said...
    I'm going to go with

    "What is TDEE?"
    "What is TLDR?"
    and my personal favorite
"Weight lift? I'm a GIRL! I don't want to get BULKY!!!"

That ought to keep us hydrated!!!

I'm going to have to do a lot more running if I'm going to make room for all those alcohol calories.

ETA: Oh wait, you said shot of water. What's the fun in that?!

If you are going to ignore all the asshats it would be easier to just delete your account.

High alcohol content in the drinking water in your area?

Op, please explain what counts as water so that I can play this game.
Ie. does green tea count? What about Gin. Because if I can drink gin then I'm definitely in!

    You must eat breakfast

You must eat 6 meals a day

    No eating after 6

    Starvation mode!!!!!!!

I am not logging most days and binging on the weekend, I do not know why I am not losing weight

    More......so so so many more

    Does ???? count as water?
Why are you all so mean?
Internet bullies are just people who can hide behind the anonymity of a screen, and would never act like that in real life.
Aren't we all here for the same reason?

My plan for the new year is as follows:
    1) worry more about me than others (new or otherwise) - nothing new here, but always good to keep in mind
    2) befriend the "noobs" so as to help keep them motivated since WE ALL KNOW THAT THE BEGINNING OF THE JOURNEY IS THE HARDEST PART
    3) try not to get too sad when some of them don't make it this time since most of us don't/didn't/won't - we're only human afterall
    4) try not to be too snarky... never mind, that's just not me so I'll snark away

wow... I am sorry some people attributed meanness to the original post. It was nothing more than an observation that the boards fill up with a lot of the same posts with the same comments every year at this time of year. Raspberry ketones... Dr. Oz says... acai juice... under 1000 calories per day... lose weight without working out... It was NOT intended to, nor did it make fun of anyone. It is no different than taking a drink when an sports announcer on tv uses a particular catch phrase that he is famous for. Nothing more. If you want to attribute ill motives to me, the OP, you might just want to look in the mirror first.

How about doing a shot every time someone starts a thread about New Year's Resolution-ers?

    That will get people hydrated.

OP, I have looked in the mirror. I am an awful person. I recognize and appreciate my kindred spirits.

Let's make fun of the destitute next!!
