    So, not justifying any of her actions, because freaking out and screaming is pretty much always uncalled for. But based on her having a major reaction, I'd say she probably had reason to believe that you guys were a couple. And you giving a much abbreviated version, that portrays you with one harmless sentence, seems like you're trying to get validation for being "in the right" when there was a lot more going on.

    Maybe if you guys had had some communication, rather than relying on stereotypes as a platform for how you speak to and treat each other, there wouldn't have been so much confusion as to if you were dating or not.
