Vengeful weight loss motivation

When I was 16 I had this massive crush on this guy. I was fat then and I'm fat now. We were good friends until i told him that I sort of liked him, at which point he sort of gave me the cold-shoulder! In July I'll be seeing this guy again after 5 years at a mutual friends wedding where we're both bridesmaids (yup, he's a bridesmaid too :P). And I want to look so hot that day that he swallows his tongue
Anyone else trying to lose weight to get back at someone else (or for any other deliciously evil reason)!?

Ha, yeah. The way I figure, as long as you want to lose weight or get into shape mostly to please yourself, then using any other side motivations can't hurt.
For me... I was passed over for a job for a hotter girl. Apparently our resumes were very similar and the manager who was hiring is notorious for hiring good looking people. The company liked me though and eventually hired me for another position. The new position ended up being way better for me, but I'd love to get into amazing shape to make the manager regret his shallowness.

Be careful losing weight due to a negative influence. It can lead to weird depression problems when you realize that you can still get rejected when you're thin. Also, you should be losing weight and getting in shape for yourself, not as a big "**** you" to some random guy (because honestly, he probably doesn't give a ****, no offense.)0 -

agreed. It is essential to do it to please yourself because nobody else really matters. But if you are, it certainly can't hurt (IMO) to also use other motivations to fuel some extra workout burn. You just shouldn't hold your gauge of success off of their reactions. Since it almost certainly won't be as great as you want. And really... even if he did want you then you wouldn't want somebody that shallow. Because that is the type to cheat or divorce you if you gain weight later in life.0 -

Of course, you guys are completely right. I do exaggerate when I say that's my motivation to lose weight - it's more like a minor one of many0 -
I don't see anything wrong with "revenge fantasies." You know, the idea that you'll get yourself so darn happy, anyone who ever hurt you will look at you and think, "hey, she has her life together and is really happy!" Happiness is the best revenge!0
