Starvation question?

Im a female and I weigh 200 and am 5'8 I usually eat about 800-1300 calories a day and I usually exercise anywhere from 1500-2000 calories on average. I have read forums that say you need to have -500 net calories a day to lose a pound a week and ive read other things that say thats bad. I do not get light headed or feel sicky from doing that at all so im wondering if I will lose weight that way. I get into a zone when I exercise where I cant stop and I like it so I usually exercise for 2+ hours straight. Wanting to lose ten pounds by February. Anyways is negative net calories really bad and also how to lose the weight when healthy choices arnt always an option. (Also not losing weight because I think I need to be thin, its because the doctor said I need to lose weight since I have beginning diabetes)

This will help you figure out the right answers for you specifically.
Have fun with it, if you love your exercise that's awesome and will serve you well in your journey. Don't try to take shortcuts or speed up the process- slow and steady wins the race. I think it's likely you can lose 10 lbs in 2 months because you have a few more extra to work with. As you get closer to your goal the weight loss will slow down.

I second this. You need to do some research and learn how to fuel your body appropriately. If you routinely eat a very low calorie diet, it can become difficult to meet your body's nutritional needs, especially with that much exercise. It's not really about "starvation mode", it's about making sure your body has the energy and the macro and micro-nutrients it needs to function.
