I have to have my coffee in the morning, and I like it light and sweet. I now use Stevia, but also use International Creamer of some kind as well. What do you use to lighten your coffee?

I use the Sam's club Daily Chef Rich & Creamy Non-Dairy Creamer (cholesterol & Lactose free) which is 10 calories per tsp and 1 g fat, 1 gm carb. Then I journal it.

I use fat free 1/2 and 1/2 by Land O Lakes. The fat free version is 15 calories per 2 tablespoons. Land O Lakes also makes a low fat version which I believe is 25 calories per 2 tablespoons. Skim Plus makes a similar product.

thanks!!!!!!! so many options I never knew about :) I am also trying to cut out as much processed junk. Would you think the natural bliss or regular half and half would be best?

I've used both. Personally, I like doing half and half by itself. I find the natural bliss really yummy, but sometimes too sweet, especially if I want to drink it with a biscotti and want a stronger flavor of coffee to come through. The natural bliss is good, but you really can't control how sweet it is. I just use half and half and then a little raw sugar.

2 splenda and a dash (2 or 3 teaspoons) of 1% milk for me.

I tried stevia, just not crazy about it. Sugar is not an option because I hate the taste, but like my coffee sweet too ... so Sugar Twin, a cyclamate, is my go-to sweetener. My favorite creamer is 1 tablespoon of International Delight Hazelnut, though 2% milk will do in a pinch.

I drink mine black. It took some adjustment, but as I tell my boys, try it. It'll put hairs on your chest!

Heavy whipping cream. Keeps my blood sugar stable and I can last until my 14 hour IF fasting window is over.

International Creamer in Cold Stone Creamery Sweet Cream and French Vanilla. I always do 1 tsp of Folgers Coffee and 2 tablespoons of liquid creamer, no sugar.

I mix my own; In a 500ml container I mix 100 ml Heavy Cream and 400 ml SO No sugar added Vanilla Coconut Milk, along with a few drops of Pure Vanilla Extract. Sometimes, like right now, I also add a teaspoon of Pumpkin Pie Spice. YUMO! Gives me the creaminess of the cream, lightened up with the coconut milk. :drinker:

I stay away from the processed ones, because they usually have high fructose corn syrup. Natural Bliss is yummy and has less processy-stuff but it's expensive for just cream, vanilla and sugar.

I'm trying to adjust my taste to enjoy black coffee. I use cinnamon and pure vanilla extract in the grounds which seems to mellow the flavor. When I do have creamer I use 1 TBSP organic half and half and 2 TBSP whole or 2% milk, and a couple of drops of liquid stevia. The only prepared creamer I buy is SO Delicious, because it doesn't have additives and uses coconut milk and real cane sugar instead of HFCS.

    Ha, I do that too!
And I journal it every time. Only about 14 calories for a teaspoon or so, and it adds just the right amt of chocolate yummy goodness! I've also used the no sugar added swiss miss cocoa.

Heavy cream with a splash of real vanilla extract, simply makes the best tasting coffee.

I've phased out creamers and sugar in the last 3 weeks. Added a little less every day.

"I use fat free 1/2 and 1/2 by Land O Lakes."

I must admit that I've always been puzzled that they can call it half-and-half when it has no fat. "Half-and-half" should be, by definition, half milk and half cream - so about 10% fat.

Anyhow ... I used to drink a standard double-double: two cream, two sugar. I cut back on the sugar and then dropped it, using cinnamon and cocoa unless I'm drinking *really* good coffee.
