5k in 6 months?

Is it possible? It's not just a 5k, it's actually a Zombie obstacle course so it'll require a little more than running.

I've never been a ''talented'' runner, though, I've played sports all my life and can run a fair amount. I'm just getting back into the swing of things.

Also what kind of exercises should I be doing?(weight training and whatnot)
I have a 5k training app that I'm going to get started with, so hopefully that'll help.

totally doable and heck you should even be ready to prepare for a 10K in that time.

do you have the zombies run 5k app? i have that one and it's fun! it sends you out on little zombie related missions and cues you for when to run and when to walk. the entire program is 8 weeks i believe i also have the regular one but that one assumes you can run for the entire workout.

I haven't done this but I have had a few friends do C25K (http://www.c25k.com/) and you learn how to run 5k in like 9 weeks or something. It's like 3 days a week. That may be helpful to you. Someone who has actually done the program may be able to help you more!

I trained for last year's zombie run in 8 weeks and i was 240lbs so yeah, it;s doable. I'm going for the black ops zombie run obstacle course this year. I'm going to focus on my core at first and then try to build in some outdoor obstacles in the spring.

It is definitely do able. Just take time to plan out and incorporate running each day you work out and slowly build from there. I am doing my first 5k in 5 weeks from Saturday and been prepping since October and I started out slow and my momentum has build up for sure. I have even signed up for a second one in April. So yup, its do able.
