To all the Veterans -- Thank you! To their spouses, children, and parents -- Thank you. You are appreciated! Your sacrifices are understood. May your day be blessed and may those who serve in the years ahead show the same dedication you did. We are in your debt.0 -

What if you are not from the US?
How about serving OTHER countries?
Like Iraq?
It says one who SERVED. Nothing about what country. Sheesh....it is veterans day in the US..... Not sure when other countries celebrate those who have and are serving.0 -

Gunnery Charles Duran, USMC (retired).
Gunny Duran was my last Leader in the Marine Corps. He was my Gunny from 1975 to1976. He retired not long after. When he retired he was a Master Sargeant. (That's an E8; E9 is as far as you can go as an enlisted man)
I received an email from him about 10 years ago. I travelled to San Diego to see him. Have seen him a couple times since. He has visited my family in Portland. There are few men in this world that I can say I hold as much respect for.
He was Old Corps.
Happy Veteran's Day, Gunny.0 -
Don't mean to piss anyone off - but this site has gone international, so it is really RELATIVE who is serving whom and for what!
