New MFP user and first-time New Year's resolution-er

Hey ya'll!
I decided to break my lifetime no-resolution tradition this New Year's and try to get myself re-fit for the trails this spring. This means: no more college budget food (graduated - yay!), and much more getting-out-of-the-house-and-working-my-recently-neglected-stovepipes from time to time. In addition to the personal commitment, I also bought a Fitbit because I'm a bit of a geek, and I get off on gadgets and metrics and such.
Not sure what to expect from the MFP community, but I thought I'd throw my hat into the introduction ring to see what comes of it. I'd love to find a few friends to share tips with and get/give some motivation and support.

Nothing specific in mind so far, though I would love to summit St. Helens again some time.
For now, just tackling the local cinder cones in the area will be work enough.0 -
