Broken foot

I just found out my foot is broken. I plan to continue to lift some weights (while babying my foot) but I am worried about weight gain. Any exercise ideas?? I don't have access to swim....

    I've got a broken foot right now too, and it's been a struggle! I feel your pain! I'm in a non-weight bearing cast for four more weeks, then I'll likely be in a boot for a while longer. Yuck.

    I've been missing cardio the most, but I've found a couple of good videos for chair workouts that I've been doing regularly. Just search youtube for "seated cardio" or "zumba gold chair" (not all Zumba gold workouts are seated, but many are.)

    In Jillian Michaels' 30DS videos she does some exercises where you are slightly squated whilst doing punches. She recommends punches and upper body work as a good way to get cardio in if you have a lower body injury. Might be worth looking into. Hope the foot heals soon!
