The past few years have been crazy trying to find my way to weight loss with mostly excercise and slow diet change. I would always just work out a ton (up to 10 hours per week) and try to avoid all fatty foods. This was just a set up for disaster because i would eat healthy on weekdays and trash my diets on weekend binges. On December 3rd of last month, i started calorie counting @ 1200 cals a day and an excercise regimen of 4-6 hours per week. I eat "junk food" weekly now but budget it in. I never feel deprived anymore and eat what i l love and in combination with healthy foods.

I weigh 9 pounds lighter today then i did last month Dec 3rd. I FINALLY FOUND WHAT WORKS FOR ME!

Now it's just waiting!

Thanks for reading my little success story!!

  • Well done, at the end its all trial and error. I am still learning and trying new things every day. As long as you persevere you will achieve your goal.

    Good Luck!!

That is just awsome  I just started counting calories and hope to drop 20 pounds. I excerise during the week, but attempt to count calories on the weekend as well. Any suggestons

    Thank you everyone!

My suggestion is start with counting during the week only then ease into the weekend.

I went 1500 cals/week days and no counting weekends.
    Then, 1200 cals/week days 2000 cals weekends.
    Then 1250 all days....
    Now 1200...

I would make the transition slowly. I also don't eat back excercise cals. Ive been scolded on MFP for doing this a few times... but i don't feel extra hungry and so i don't think i need them.
