I'm trying to set up some type of workout schedule for myself as I feel like I Need to get healthy now, no more excuses (I have a good 60+lbs that I need to Get Rid Of. I haven't started my plan yet but I feel like if I don't have a schedule it will be easier for me to not follow through. I have incorporated Cardio Kickboxing (1hr - 2x a week), Zumba (1hr - 1x a week), Boot Camp (1 hr - 2x a week), and a Yoga class (1hr- 1x a week). Should I be doing more strength training to get rid of all this weight once and for all? It's easier for me to go to classes because if not I just do some cardio on the elliptical and then wander around to a couple machines, get bored and leave, figuring something is better than nothing (don't want to do that anymore). So back to the point of the post....how much strength training should I be doing? Is 45 mins - 1hour (boot camp), twice a week enough with the other workouts I'll be doing??? I've tried to do some research but everywhere I look it just says you should incorporate strength training but now quite how much.....

It really depends on what your ultimate fitness goals are. If it's just to lose weight, you can do that regardless of how much weightlifting you do.0

Lifting weights won't lead to fat loss. It can help you retain muscle mass while you lose. Fat loss comes from a proper diet (quality).0
