How do I get them nice and crispy on the outside? I usually cut them in half and bake them at 375F for about 20 minutes then flip them, add spices, and broil them for 5 minutes. Is there a way to get them a little crispier like my mom always used to?

I par boil them for a minute or two before I put them in an oven, slice them in half and toss with spices and/or balsamic vinegar.0
