I am leaving in a bit for a TJ's run, and also want to start using a protein powder. I am pretty sure they sell some. I was wondering what people thought of it. I tried protein powder from Costco years ago and it was disgusting.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Did you find any? I'm thinking about trying to add some protein powder to my morning smoothies and want something that's not too unappetizing...vanilla preferably. I'd be interested to know what you found at TJs.0

technically all powder is disgusting. don't let anyone convince you otherwise. There are only ways to limit the disgust.0

The two that I can stand are Optimum Nutrition and Omega's Pumpkin Seed Protein. OM...well, it tastes like protein powder. Omega's is actually pretty good since you mix it into things and can't taste it. Not sure about Trader Joe's, but if all protein powder makes you want to spit, you probably won't love it all that much.0

Not attempting to plug them, but I buy my protein from them and they have good prices, good flavor, and good variety along with different formulations.0 -
I bought it once or twice. The Vanilla isn't awful, and it mixed fine in a shaker bottle. It's a small tub, so go ahead and give it try since this is your first time using it. If you decide to stick with it, you'll probably opt for another brand that comes in a larger quantity. If you hate it, as least you won't have wasted $30-400

They sell that designer protein stuff which tastes pretty good and isn't over sweetened.0

I *think* that you can return anything you don't like at Trader Joe's.0

had a question about protein powder.. i've always been weird about protein powder because as a female i don't want to 'bulk up' but then i see everyone and their mama using it in smoothies, and if it helps keep me full in the mornings the same way eggs do... then maybe i'll invest in it! trader joes has a ton of stuff i'm needing to get. which may be unrelated but have you guys heard of the peanut butter powders?0

It will NOT make you bulk up, unless you're having way too much. I never have a protein smoothie more than once a day, some people have 2, and that's totally fine! Make sure you're also having enough fiber during the day and plenty of water. It is a myth that women "bulk up" from weight training and protein. Don't listen to that.0 -
I like Trader Joe's Hemp protein. Comes in chocolate.0

Unless you start taking testosterone (either injected or orally) your not going to "bulk up". Women typically don't have the free-T in their systems to do so.0 -
I've tried their hemp one and don't care for it at all
I don't do protein powders anymore and just stick to whole foods in smoothies and use yogurt for protein.0
