I didn't mean to say Alcohol...I meant to say it's never done anything for me but make my butt bigger than it already is...I found out my favorite beer had over 200 calories per bottle...and I sucking them down 6 at a time... I reward myself with new fitness workout games for my xbox...

    6 x 200 is only 1200 calories.

You should just calculate your TDEE so you can have room for those six packs.

I started getting manicures and facials. When I'm not doing what I'm supposed to be doing I cancel the appointment. Fortunately it seldom happens.
  • a haircut - which might not sound like much, but I go from extremely short to long. I get tired of it one way, so I do the other. It is very, very thick and naturally curly. I like to see everyone's reactions, too. Everyone has an opinion which way they like it; I just smile, say thanks and wear it the way I want. lol

I've decided to reward myself for every 10kg's I lose with a pair of Adidas trainers like the ones in my weight ticker. So one pair when I lose 10 kg's, 2 pairs when I lose 20 kg's etc by the end of it I will have a LOT of trainers and have lost a lot of weight. WINNING!

My rewards and the amount lost for each one:
5# Scale - to track my weight loss
25# Kindle - so I could read on the treadmill
50# HR Monitor - to track how many calories I was burning
    75# Adjustable Dumbbells
    100# Olympic Weight set
    125# New Running shoes

I have not decided what my reward for 150# will be. But I have time to decide.

Kettlebells, some hiking shoes and for the winter snowshoes. The reward for me has been increased activity and a better mindset. Loving the nature and trying new things.

New clothes. :D The only thing more victorious than a lower number on the scale, is a smaller size of pants. :)

I don't use new clothes as rewards because I have to get new clothes anyway; I have had to gradually replace my entire wardrobe once already & am in the process of doing it again as I lose more. I want my rewards to be something I would not otherwise get. I like jewelry because it tends not to wear out & the pieces I choose will always be in style. Every time I wear it I am reminded of my success.
  • That's a good idea. I should grow my hair and beard out, then freak everyone out later when my face is skinnier.

    Great ideas
  • I forgot to mention, the last few years I have rewarded myself with a trip to Las Vegas with my friends. I would like to do it again this year, or maybe a cruise.

    new running shoes,

fwiw shoes is the one thing I wouldn't use as a reward purchase. Given that they're lifed to about 500km I need to get new ones anyway and the replacement cycle needs to be predicated around how far they've run rather than pegged to some arbitrary reward point.

I previously bought myself a pair of shoes for every 20 pounds lost ...recently I have been buying sexy panties ...I finally fit into Victoria secret underwear. So now evey 2 pounds or so I'm getting another pair since I seem to be losing a little slower and need the possitive motivation:blushing:

I have a new strategy with goals and rewards-- I get impatient and sometimes give up if I can't seem to hit a certain number on the scale, and so now I'm rewarding myself for doing certain healthy things. For instance, I told myself that when I run 18 cumulative miles-- or go for 10 runs-- I'll get myself this awesome Supernatural workout shirt:

And I really want that shirt, so I think I'll be running a lot more than I would have without that motivating me.
