I got called old because I didn't know what Snapchat was..Why not just send nudes through text? Is everyone 15 and monitored by their parents? I don't get it.

I don't use snapchat but I am guessing that some people don't just text the nudes because then it can be saved and possible sent to everyone else but you can't save the image with snapchat.

But if you are an adult therefore not worried about what your parents may read, I don't get it...

You can save the images on snapchat - you just take a screenshot and it lets the other person know that you took it. Like I said, our friends use it to communicate plans, funny pics, etc. I use it regularly to talk to a long distance friend (no sexting lol) It's a fun way to send little bits of your life in picture/video form without gumming up your friend's phone memory and using up all their data...you can also draw and write text on photos which is fun.

I use snapchat to keep in touch with a friend - it is usually just funny things we see, books we are reading, or our pets...and I have one friend who is keeping me up to date on how fast a mutual friend's kid is growing through short videos.

Oh! That's where we've been going wrong! It's supposed to be a "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" kind of thing. That should be in the snap chat disclaimer "noodz or GTFO"
