When do you see any results?

Just curious if anyone can shed some light on when I would start to see results.
I have been on a 1200 calorie a day schedule for going on 3 weeks. Exercised at least 4 days a week for 20min.
Always stayed within the 1200 calories and measured food for correct calorie content.
I measured myself today and all the measurements are the same, weight the same..nothing changed.
Am I jumping the gun here? I thought by the prediction it gave me I would lose 6 lbs by mid February ..but now I don't think that is going to happen.
I'm already weak and dizzy from this 1200 calorie a day thing. Can't go lower.
I would exercise more but after 20min I get dizzy and have to sit down.

That's probably because you're not eating back your exercise calories (it doesn't sound like you are, anyway). MFP is designed in such a way that you eat the calories you burn of with exercise back, as the 1200 a day already has a deficit built in. Eat back 50%-100% of them (some people prefer to eat less than 100% as gym machines and the MFP database tend to overestimate them) and you'll start to feel better.
To answer your actual question I noticed a weight change quite quickly, but didn't notice any visible changes for ages. I also find that measurements can be deceiving - looking back at previous pictures I'm sure I look thinner now, but measurements are the same. Very odd.0 -
Is 1200 calories the amount that MFP "set" for you?
If not, I'd try going with your MFP-guided calories.
If 1200 IS the amount MFP set for you then I assume you're probably at 2 lb/week? Maybe switch to 1 or 1.5 lb/week and see how it goes.0 -
I do eat back what I exercise. So if I have 1200..I workout and get an extra 200-300 and actually eat about 1500 calories.
Yes, the MFP set those calories and goals as losing 2lbs a week. I was at 1lb a week but thought it wasn't enough to get to my goal.0 -
I know what you mean I have exercising and staying at 1200. Weighed after 1 week no change. They tell me that with the exercising I am replacing fat with muscle and muscle weighs more than fat. I think my legs feel a little tighter. I also try not to eat back my exercise calories0

Ok good You could try calculating your TDEE (search Google for a calculator) and eating 80% of that instead. If you're still feeling that tired there might be another cause.0 -
just be patient....and you will see results. its different for everybody. i have lost little on machine but my waist measurement i smaller than before. just keep it up...good luck0

I didn't lose any lbs for 6 weeks- during that time I had muscle swelling from lifting weights masking my initial results, at 6 weeks I lost 6lbs overnight, then a few more over the next couple days- it was an exciting week.
Other people really started noticing my results at 13lbs lost, YMMV.0 -
hey can somebody tell me that with some people it is showing a graph how much they have lose. is it a pro thing coz i dont have it? how can i get it?0

If you're looking at losing 21lbs total, 2lb a week would be too ambitious. Try 1lb a week, what's the rush?!
If 1200cals daily is leaving you feeling weak and dizzy sounds like you need more food.
Good luck!0 -
thanks...:)0
