Ok thank you i was just panicking i'v done so well and i know you shouldnt go under 1200 calories but i have just been really busy plus its not a good idea to eat at 1 in the morning i guess
  • I've eaten junk to get calories before... while i wouldnt...recommend it since its not very nutritious, I would say that if you've eaten well all day, I'm not sure it matters much how you choose to fill the rest of your calories :) thats just my humble opinion though

It's really not a big deal. You'll be fine. I'm not sure why people are so worried about being under calories, especially for a short period of time. Some people even swear by intermittent fasting. I seriously doubt this will cause you to gain weight (unless you are trying to and that's why you're concerned?)
  • I've only just started up on here, but I'm pretty shocked I've only had 680 calories (my bad days are either eat everything until I'm about to burst, or loose all my apetite)

You'll be fine for just the one day, it becomes dangerous if your cals drop below 600, which is what your body and internal organs need just to function.

Don't be angry at yourself hun, it's fine as an occasional thing

Being under for one day is not going to negatively impact on your metabolism or weight loss. If you aren't hungry don't feel like you need to eat just to bring up your calories for the day. You may find you are a little more hungry than normal tomorrow and may even eat over your calories. Don't beat yourself up over it if you do. Remember that you were under today so being over tomorrow just brings it all back into balance.

Being under one day won't do any harm, just as being over one day won't do any harm. You don't have to force yourself to eat or eat high calorie junk food just to meet your goal. Just try again tomorrow and do your best no to skip meals and to have healthy food in the house.
